Before we bought into BLT we stayed there all the time. I never dressed up once. Disney shirts every day and very casual for dinner. Never once did I feel like I was being looked down on. ( how would they know if you where staying there or just passing through). But then... I don't let anyone make me feel less. We are going to buy points as soon as they go on sale.

I totally agree, only oneself can make one feel inferior.

We stayed in a honeymoon room (wasn't our honeymoon, but was only $10 more than the other rooms). It was fantastic. The level of service there was above and beyond

We stayed at the GF for our honeymoon...granted, that was almost 22 years ago!...and I hadn't really travelled much at that point. Not once did I find that resort too upscale, snobby, or that I needed to be 'dressed up' while being there.

We have now visited over there several times with our four kids...all of us dressed in our very best shorts and tee shirts. :) One time we saw a wedding party pass by, which was fun. We watched along side folks in their bathing suits, wrapped in towels standing by the pool!

Perception is what you make it. This is Disney World. Yes, the Grand Floridian *can* be an upscale, dressy, worthy-of-a-wedding resort. Or, it can just be a beautiful resort on the Monorail that you choose to stay at. Hopefully someday we'll get to stay there again!!
