Hello there
So me and my husband are planning on taking my son for his graduation in 2020. We are considering to take along my niece who will be 14 at the time we go. She has never been and I think this will be the only way she will be able to go if we take her. So I dont think a almost 18 year old boy and almost 15 year old girl even though they are cousins should share a bed
I know that Port Orleans Riverside have murphy beds in the rooms at alligator bayo
And the deluxes that have them are Grand Floridian, Polyneisian, Boardwalk and Beach Club
If something that we can get any of these resorts will a resort put a rollaway bed in a room that does not have a murphy bed.
Any thoughts will be great
I really hate for one of them to have sleep on the floor lol

Deluxe that you will get a daybed in the room for sure are Grand Floridian, Poly and Contemporary. Boardwalk and BC do not have the daybed in all rooms, and the rollaway is on a first-served basis, not reserved. So I would strongly consider booking one of the resorts that have it.

At POR you need to book preferred to be sure of getting the murphy as a party of 4.

I would look at your budget and if deluxe is within your comfort zone book one with a daybed.

If not you can always share with your niece and your dh with your DS. Not ideal but manageable.

The All Star Music family suite or AoA is also a good set up, they would each have their own pull out bed and there's the extra bathroom.

Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge both have bunk bed rooms that can be reserved. More expensive than a standard room, but the option is there.

We stayed at Coronado Springs in April- the room had 2 queen beds and space for a rollaway. Luckily there was a rollaway available for us....our backup plan was a twin air mattress.

We booked a studio at Boardwalk Villas, and there's a room at Yacht Club with a queen bed, a day bed and a pullout chair. The yacht club room was a request, the studio was obviously a specific category. We booked preferred at POR, although it might not be called that anymore - it might be marked as a room for 5 people.

All of these rooms had 3 bed surfaces, which is important to us too, even though we are only 4 people too.

We also booked club level at Polynesian, which had the pull down bed, but that might be a budget buster (we got a really good rate).

Is one of the kids on the small side? The pull down beds are smaller than normal twin beds.

I've stayed at POR twice as a party of 4 and a party of 3 in a standard room in Alligator Bayou and had a murphy bed each time. Not sure why? Maybe just the luck of the draw, but my boys were happy not to have to sleep together.

Because every room in the Alligator Bayou section has a Murphy bed.

Yes, sorry, I guess my point was we've never been a party of 5 and have always been placed in Alligator Bayou with a Murphy bed. I think a previous poster said you needed to book preferred to be assured a Murphy bed as a party of 4. I probably should have quoted the post :D

You are not guaranteed a room in AB unless you have 5 or book preferred. With 4 they can and often will assign you to a room elsewhere.

CBR rooms all have a pull down bed. And the room (standard) was big enough for 5 grown women for 8 nights!
