I am considering the ABD Italy for Summer 2012. I would be traveling with a family of 4 including 2 children, ages 8 and 5.

Can anyone tell me what sort of sleeping arrangements I might expect (i.e. one or two room? Queen, King or Twin beds?).

Thank you.

I don't know about ABD, but in general Italian accomodations are smaller. The beds are pretty much the same, but you have less extra space. Also, sometimes the bathrooms are arranged differently. We stayed in a hotel where you had to walk through the shower area to get to the toilet and sink. It was weird.

The info you're looking for is found at the bottom of the rates and dates pages. Here's what it says for the Italy Family Vacation:

In Rome, quad rooms are accommodated in two rooms each having either one queen bed or two twin beds. Connecting or adjoining rooms may be requested but are not guaranteed. In Tuscany, quad rooms may be accommodated in one room with one queen bed and either two twin beds or two queen beds. In Venice, quads are accommodated in two adjoining rooms each having one queen bed or two twin beds. Adjoining rooms may be requested but are not guaranteed. Accommodations subject to change.
