I am trying to rent DVC points for a Xmas holiday 2024 staying at the new Duo Villas at the DL hotel. The problem is it looks like I can only get a Sunday to Sunday booking but I need accommodation the Saturday before and the Monday after (total 9 night stay). Unfortunately I am locked into dates because of airfare availability to & from Australia. I was thinking perhaps I could do a cash booking for single nights at the DLH villas either side of the DVC booking. Does anyone know, if I did this and all three bookings were in the same name and piggy backed each other would the hotel combine them together for me if I email them so that we could occupy the same room the whole time and not have to check in and out multiple times. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could conceivably have them linked if you’re able to get the cash bookings for the exact same room type & view category. Well, you could have the reservations noted at least, but you wouldn’t exactly be able to link them because that week long reservation technically belongs to the DVC member & you’re just a guest.

I would recommend making two additional one night rentals of DVC points if possible from another DVC owner(s). That should save you money over cash bookings. Either way, once you have all of your confirmation numbers, you can call the DLH front desk & ask them to notate the reservations that you would like to keep the same room if possible. It’s not a guarantee that you won’t have move, but this has always worked for me VGC. They may tell you that you’ve called too early & to try back closer to your reservation, but they should be able to help.

You may be able to find an email address, but I’ve only ever done it by calling. Definitely call/email the actual hotel though. DVC will not help you note the reservations since you’re not a DVC owner.

You can book 9 days, but not all at once. You can only book 7 days at once, then add the other two days after. Someone else can explain it better @Sandisw does a great job explaining these :D
