Hi,

We are due to go CBR in October 2018 - 4a 2c with my parents. We are currently booked in the Pirate Rooms are CBR and I'm a little concerned at the bed size, the distance from the main pool/place in bus route, and the potential state of the construction.

However, I've just become aware of the 2 bed villa options at SSR and OKW. Overall it would be around £400 more in total, but this would include the DDP instead of the QSP and the added benefit of more space.

This seems like an attractive option, but I have a couple of concerns:

- How are the villas in general?
- Both SSR and OKW seem slightly bland in terms of theming when compared with CBR.
- My kids would be 6 and 3 so want to ensure the resort is exciting for them and has enough to do. How are the pools at SSR and OKW for kids, as the pools are a big draw of CBR.
- As we made two separate bookings for CBR, how would Disney be with us combining these into one for a villa? Does anyone have experience in doing this?

Thanks so much!

You would need to make a separate booking for the change and get a refund for the deposit on CBR.
My son was happy with any pool as long as it was a pool, I don't think they have the slides at SSR and OKW that they do at CBR but they do have main pools and quiet pools. OKW and SSR are bigger and more spread out than CBR. I haven't stayed at SSR, have stayed at OKW and CBR and didn't find any place at CBR as too far from anything but we are walkers in our family. You can get a room pretty close to the main area at OKW and there are bus stops located all throughout the resort, same with SSR. OKW is the oldest DVC on property and does show it's age but the rooms are huge and so are the balconies. I have visited SSR and it kind of reminded me of a generic condo complex you would find anywhere. The lack of theaming doesn't bother me since everywhere else in Disney is so immersive but that would depend on you and your family. I think you would certainly be more comfortable at one of the DVCs room wise but be prepared to spend a lot of time on the buses since they do have stops all throughout the properties.

I would go with SSR, preferred section and ask for the Springs. And they do have pool slides.

My vote would be for OKW. the pool does have a slide. The rooms are larger and you can park in front of your room building. I for on e like the décor, etc, of OKW.

We are DVC owners, and I love the villas. We own at OKW, and the pools at both OKW and SSR are great. Plus you have extra pools at both properties. AT SSR, depending on where you are on property, it's an easy walk to Downtown Disney. Also, you'll have full kitchens, and washer/dryer. Nobody loves doing laundry, but it's really nice to return home with minimal dirty clothes. You'll have 3 tvs, so no need for anyone to compromise. The porches are really nice to sit on and relax first thing in the morning, and the evenings.

Honestly I loved OKW it was super quiet and a great pool for the kids, boat to Disney Springs. Having a full kitchen, washer n dryer to do laundry as you please is a huge plus !

We stayed at OKW twice around 2000 & 2002 and loved it both times. Having a washer/dryer is great when you have kids plus you can bring less clothes if you don't mind doing laundry doing the trip. One trip we had a room on the golf course and it was entertaining watching.

For the money you quote (and the added bonus of the DDP), I'd stay at SSR first, OKW second hands down over two pirate rooms at CBR.

Pirate rooms at CBR= full size beds, from what I have read. No way in, well I would stay in one.
