We will be going to Disney in a few weeks. We are staying at AKL but the first night of our trip we are going to be staying at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista since we have a UPH connected with our AKL stay and got a good deal at the Hilton. Question: It would probably be an ideal night for us to go to the Campfire at Fort Wilderness our first night when we are at the Hilton...since we are not staying at a Disney owned resort that night are we not able to go? Do Hilton guest get access to the Campfire since they get other perks such as EE? Thanks.

As long as they'll let you park, you won't have any problem. No one will question you after that point. When you get to the guard, just tell them that you want to go look around and shop. If you really want to be sure they let you in, tell them you're going to eat. Then get a kit to make Smores so that you don't lie. :D

Be prepared for a hike we got lost and had a very hard time with the internal buses- we never did get to see the show- leave lots of time to arrive. We are not woods/camping people and it was a rough experience for us. If you know FW you would be fine. For us I had three crying children complaining about being lost in the woods so we ended up taking them to DTD
