How is the ac lately? I read a post on FB from a friend who is at Disney now and she said everything feels really warm, like the gift shops and ride queues. Not sure how I feel about that since we go in the summer and the ONLY thing that keeps me going in the relentless, blistering heat is the cool refreshing air conditioned gift shops and restaurants. Oh, and the busses are usually blissfully cold.

I know there was a thread a month or so back about someone saying everything felt warmer, but I was wondering if anyone who is there now can report about it.

We just got home a few hours ago from spending the past 2 1/2 weeks there. I honestly didn't notice any major deficiencies in the air conditioning. Some of the queues weren't as ice cold as we've felt them in the past, but they were far from hot. For instance, Pirates. I do remember it being so cold in the past that my wife would get goose bumps. It wasn't quite that cold, but it was still nice and cool in there. The shops were still nice and cool. If you really want blasts of cold air, go to the indoor character greetings. Those places are really cold, to help the CMs in the costumes stay cool.

We just and I was stupid enough to walk from the back of Epcot's parking lot, through Epcot, and then all the way to the Studios. The only thing that saved me was the air conditioning and it even felt cool in Star Tours which was after Twilight Zone and lunch at Sci-Fi so I had enough time to cool all the way down.

Yes the air conditioning is different.. If food is involved, it's how you remember it (except the land).. everywhere else it doesn't really do anything but remove the humidity from the air and get you some shade.

I felt a big difference in the AC between Universal and Disney. Universal was much cooler and refreshing. i'm not sure if I would have noticed had we not come directly from Universal to Disney.

I noticed it wasn't fantastic in our room, but didn't notice it anywhere else.

The temps in the Disney stores seem to be much hotter than they've been previously. There's been a few times when we wanted to look around the store, but couldn't because it was just too hot.
We also found the Universal stores were much cooler.

this is what my friend said as well.

I never once felt hot enough in a store that I felt like I needed to leave the store. It was always cool but not often bone chilling. If the stores were unpleasant, they'd notice that in their hourly sales reports right away, if the AC was actually causing problems.

That said, it's possible that they did name some adjustments. I often felt that the stores were ridiculously air conditioned in some places, where you'd feel uncomfortably cold walking with the sweat and humidity. It would feel refreshing at first but then make you want to leave. Of course, everyone is different.

I'm curious reading all these replies which shops u noticed a difference? We got back on the 20th and often commented on how cool the inside locations all were.

we spent a lot more time then perhaps we should have in the shops ;)

When we were at Disney Springs in late May, I noticed the AC at the World of Disney store was less cold than I remembered in the past. It was probably close to 90 degrees. While it was cooler in the store, I believe they had the doors open.

I actually hope this is true, I always freeze in the shops, on the buses and in any of the rides that have AC. I always carry a sweater or shawl with me just for that, gets me really funny looks when it's 90 outside. When it's raining, I even go out of my way to try to avoid going in the shops because wet and cold are just miserable.

I felt that way until yesterday. prior to the surface of the sun hot days it was warm but never uncomfortable. When it's really hot outside you feel the difference in an uncomfortable way and previously you could get some relief by looking around after a ride or just ducking in for a few minutes to shop (or just browse)... It's not cold enough to offer some relief from outside anymore and I didn't realize how much that helped with the weather before..

I'm curious which stores you guys/gals felt were warmer. We aren't huge shopping people, but we were in World of Disney several times, and many of the other shops in the 4 parks. The only time we ever felt warm was in the World of Disney, and that was just one time. It was an incredibly hot and humid day and a t-storm was rolling through. Therefore, the store was packed with people, which makes it warm inside no matter how much they blast the a/c. I always feel bad for the CMs working in the pin store in Disney Springs. It has no a/c and is hot. Same with the CMs working Tomorrowland Speedway.

nothing to compare our trip to last time but we sure did enjoy all of the a/c! The buses were cold, the stores were cold and the restaurants/qs were cold. No complaints here!

Here now. I thought it was me but definitely does not feel cool enough on buses and shops. And lines line lion king. Why can't they hang fans at least? So hot esp yesterday and today.

We went 6/4-6/11 and all the inside places (pavilion, ride, store, room) felt cool to us. It was very refreshing! Maybe the restaurants weren't as cool as the shops and such, but it was still very comfortable.
