we're back, we had to deal with monorail downtimes, so what ? ... more boats, more buses, we hardly saw any change at all and didn't experience any inconvenience.
Now it never hurts to file a complaint with Disney.
Apparently a kid took my "privacy please" card from my door at POP, as a result housekeeping tried to enter my room (which was secured from the inside). Very minor inconvenience with no fault on Disney's part, but still I was offered a full night refund on my account ... I call that customers services.
But now who really knows the full extent of the maintenance.
We only see the tip of the iceberg, and mostly we only see what we want to see because it affects us.
But "what if" the maintenance involved heavy machinery and possibly lots of noise (and riding the monorail I saw that construction was underway last week between Poly and GF.
How bad would it sound to spend $300+ a night with heavy machinery pounding away all night ?
I bet more people would just post on DIS to rant and complain. And without meaning no disrespect, we probably also would have seen the OP post about "it's absolutely unacceptable, they should have done that by day" ...
actually it's not an issue at all. And on a personal level, I always take the boat, because even when it's full it's always less crowded than a monorail, and I mean the direct TTC/MK boat, the resort boats being even better to ride.
Most probably, you'll have to see how it actually works before saying that it's unacceptable.
