Just got back from a five day trip to US! We had wonderful time.Stayed at RPH-room 1127.Great location-close to the pool,walking path,and restaurants.RPH was terrific as usual-everyone was helpful and friendly.
Restaurants at the hotel were tremendous-Bula Bar was delicious-Jake's was tasty-had a wonderful server named Wheels who was a hoot.The best discovery was Tchoup Chop happy hour-what a bargain,and the food was outstanding! Big kudos to Tiffany,JJ,and Chris,who made us feel welcome,and served us impeccably! Also ate at the Orchid lounge-Jennifer the manager was very warm and friendly-really good sushi,too.
The Harry Potter expansion exceeded all expectations.From Stan Shunpike,to Celestina Warbeck to all of the TMs,everyone was excited,in charactor,and helpful.The look on people's faces coming into Diagon Alley for the first time was a treat-Universal just nailed every detail.Loved the soft serve butterbeer ice cream,the chocolate chili was really fun-loved the ploughman's platter and the Leaky Cauldron.Loved watching everyone with their interactive wands-team members were on hand to assist in spells.Hogwarts Express was terrific-what a fun way to get between parks! The detail was great.
Had some storms in the afternoons-not a huge deal,although the water taxis stopped running when there was lightning.Ate at Bob Marley's,Margaritaville,Red Oven-which were great.Ate at Vivo,which could have been really good had we not had a server who was practically comatose,so we shortened our meal and went to Nascar Cafe,where the wings were overdone.Oh well.
