Just back this week from a ten day stay at the World. Stayed in a dedicated 2Br at OKW, at a lockoff 2Br at AKL Jambo House, and then at a 1BR at SSR. Being our first visit using our DVC points, we have to say that staying at the World this way is so much better than the ways we have stayed there before. Of the three, OKW was definitely our favorite, and we will definitely stay there again and again, already have a stay booked for there in Sept. While we also liked SSR, the furniture there really was not all that comfortable. And while we were glad that we stayed at AKL, since it was an experience, we really didn't like how the rooms were layed out, thought the rooms were also too dark, and again, the furniture there wasn't comfortable either.
We look forward to trying out some of the other DVC resorts, but again, will definitely be back to OKW many times in the future.
By the way, it was freezing cold while we were down there, so we spent a lot of time in our rooms at each of the resorts.

Glad you enjoyed one of my homes. I'm at OKW now, got here on the 10th when it was freezing. Temps are okay now. Started in a Grand Villa with the wife and 6 friends, but now all (including my wife) are gone and I'm taking a few days in a studio to recoup.

OLD KEY WEST kind'a grows on you....we love it. You may see us there once or twice a year.Coming in in May for 14 days. WELCOME HOME

I just was able to book a 2 BR at OKW for April. Looking forward to my stay there. Had to borrow 98 points to do that. I own 100 at the AKV. I banked 100 pts from last year. I know I can not take another vacation until 2012 at WDW. My Sister family from NY is flying down to WDW and my Mother and her boyfriend from AZ are coming too. My Family is worth losing my one week a year studio. I Need some family time at WDW. My niece and her brother has never been to WDW. They do not know yet they are coming to WDW for their spring break.
:hippie:

Interesting that your assessment of the 3 resorts is much the same as ours. We own at OKW and AKL, but feel the same as you about the AKL rooms.

We are determined to stay at all DVC resorts at WDW if only for the experience. Our absolute favorite is OKW!!

:goodvibes
