I took down an emergency light down today (not sure what's it called) and I just put up a plug cover over the hole; I could just leave it, I guess.

Yes, a ceramic plaque that says “God Bless our Home.”

This was my parents and it was given to them and made by a friend of theirs who was important in my childhood.

I treasure it.

Used to have a horse shoe over the front door for good luck. We remodeled 10 years ago and my wife never put it back up. It was a shoe worn by her horse and he crossed the rainbow bridge 30 years ago
