? about tickets with free dining package

We are considering a late summer trip if free dining is offered to the public. My family is DVC but we may be bringing along some of the kids friends. Can we upgrade the tickets we are required to purchase to the DVC AP without doing the same for the friends? Or do all in the room have to have the same ticket? TIA

Yes you can. Once you get there, take your tickets to Guest Relations at one of the parks and upgrade them to APs. Your friends don't need to change theirs.
