I someone cancels a reservation for 4 people can I book it and than cancell two of them if I only need two. Thanks Tina

You may have an issue with rebooking, but if it's not a reservation that requires a cc deposit, there is no penalty for showing up with 2 people when your reservation is for 4.

As said you may not be able to get another booking so I would stick with what you've got.
