About pins...

Why does everybody like them so much? Don't get me wrong, they're pretty cool, I'm just curious on people's thoughts on why they like them so much, or maybe even don't like them?

i guess it's like any other collection? It's just for the joy of having a collection of somethin valuable to you. I currently have close to 700 pins and i love having them and looking back at each one. It's fun to remember when I got them...like my very first one and when i trade some of the comments I get from CM's that make it a great memory to take home along with the pin
I've limited myself over the years to mainly collecting limited edition ones though...besides the common ones that are a MUST have. So haveing limited editions makes it even more interesting to see how rare they get over the years and how much traders are willing to give for them (even tho i'm not up for selling/trading any of my valuables just yet =] )

Just from a different perspective, for us it's the trading experience, esp. the experience for our kids. We're orlando locals, so we kind of stumbled on pin buying many years back when the outlets were selling 99 cent pins, but we soon realized how much fun the kids have interacting with cast members when they trade. It creates some really special moments for them (esp. on the cruise ships) and some great memories of were they were when they traded and with whom they traded.

i def recommend starting your own collection! it can get expensive but it's a lot of fun and addicting haha

We started trading because DBF liked it, we got some free pins for booking our vacation thru WDTC but once those were gone we needed more...and the addiction began. LOL But it's also been really great for us personally. DD9 was very shy a few years ago when we started, now she just walks right up to the CM's to trade, it's really great. It helped her come out of her shell some.
