I think this is the proper forum for this.
My question is this- if you check in and give your credit card so that you can charge to your room card... do they charge the card or can you tell them not to really charge it and pay for it at the end of your trip without charging it to your credit card?
And if so, do you have to pay CASH when you pay it- or can you pay with a check?
Just curious... I'd prefer not to really charge it to the credit card and pay for it at the end of our stay- but I'd also rather not bother with cash and/or traveller's checks and just pay with a personal acct. check at the end of our stay.
Anyone know definitively on this or do I need to call Disney to ask? Thanks!
(ps. is there a maximum they'll let you charge before cutting you off on charging to your room key or an amount per day? Seems like last time we had it on a credit card so we could charge -and we ended up one day the card wouldn't let us charge towards the end of the day and we hadn't even spent that much! I can't remember the specifics of it but I think we just met a threshold over several days accumulation- and had to go pay for it in cash and/or approve them to charge the credit card before we could continue to charge on the room key/card. ??? am I remembering that correctly? And if so- what is the amount?)

I laugh because I know darn well I'll pay it off the first month because I'm anal that way... but you know.. just in case. LOL
And one credit card check is safer than taking my debit card with me. If it gets stolen.. I have some footing to fight against it/dispute it/report as stolen, where as a debit card.. I don't know about your bank but mine you can't even dispute charges on it. So I never use it as a "credit card" where I might not get the items or be overcharged/etc. (such as on vacations, online transactions with web-merchants, etc.)
So hated doing that, because we would get screamed at by the guest when they couldn't get into their room!!!!!!!!!!!!! But what are you to do? Take the chance of the guest leaving w/o paying?
