My son has a DR appt tomorrow. I think he has an ear infection That means antibotics. His is liquid...as long as it has a persription label am I ok putting this bottle, which is bigger than 3oz in my carry on?
You could ask the pharmacy if they could split it in to 2(or more) bottles each with a label & smaller than 3oz. I have a freind who splits meds with her ex(so they don't get forgotten).
Meds are exempt from the 3 oz rule and don't have to be in your quart bag. They should be separately declared. If you have room I'd just put it in the quart bag.

Lewisc - Question for you. I did look at the TSA website but want to make sure I interpreted the info correctly.
* DS14 has prescription antibiotic (pills) - as long as they have a label they can go in the carry-on bag or declared separately?
* DS14 also has prescriptoin Retin-A gel for acne (larger than 3 oz) - put into zip-lock bag or declare separately since it is exempt?
* DS12 has labeled prescription albuterol inhaler - Put in zip-lock bag or declare separately?
I have never taken prescription meds with me. Both boys started these this year. I usually just take over-the-counter meds so I wanted to make sure with taking prescription meds and the new rules that I do it properly so as not to hold up the lines at security. Thanks!! You are always so helpful on this board.
