We are plaaning on going to the Fort this up coming week..I plan to leave on Thursday around 5:00 pm we live in Miami, so I;m thinking we should be there no later then 9:00 pm... How will people take it because we have a pop up camper and it does make some noise when we are putting it up.. Will we be getting bad looks from ppl or will it be ok..I know you ppl are the best at answering questions, so give it to me... :rotfl2:

I don't think it's too quite at 9pm. Most folks will probably be coming back from the parks or maybe the movie or pool. You shouldn't have any problems. :wave2:

I have read on these board of several people arriving late and there does not seem to be a problem. The only great advice is to bring a lot of lighting as it is very dark in most sites.

I would say, most people understand that you get there when you can get there. The only time I think I ever heard anyone complain is if you are making noise that you can avoid, you know, like yelling at spouse that you hit a tree backing up, etc :lmao: . Noise like camper be put up is understandable, you should be fine, just make sure you have a great time, and let us know how it goes.

It's really just common sense stuff. And it's not like you are talking about 2:00am (which we HAVE had happen to us :headache: ). 9:00 isn't that late, I doubt if your neighbors will be sleeping...they will all be at the parks, marina or campfire program :goodvibes

I agree about bringing extra lighting...the sites are dark and setting up with your vehicle headlights might not make the people behind you happy ;) I would just set up what you really need for the first night and unpack the other stuff in the morning just to make it easier on yourself.
