About Iron On's...FYI

Dis you all know they have printable fabric? you can get it in muslin, 100% cotton, popplin, silk... YOu can also get this stuff called Bubble Jet Set which you treat fabric w/ before printing in your ink jet printer that colorfasts it. I did this for a diaper bag for a girlfriend SOOOO easy pic you image, print it out ( you can buy it in rolls or in 8.5x11 sheets) cut out the image, rinse and use some heat-n-bond to iron it on. then I just zig zaged around the edges to finish it off. I like this idea WAY better than the traditional iron on. I am in LOVE w/ this stuff.

Sounds neat. I use iron-on's, but would like to know more about the colorfast technique, and the fabric iron-on. Is there a website? DO you have any pics? Thanks.

I don't know if this will work. but here are pics of the Ohio State diaper bag I made using Amy Butlers Nappy Bag pattern. I couldn't find OSU fabric so I made these patches using Vintage ticket / program pictures and a pic of the first OSU football team. The colors are muted but are the actual colors of the pictures I used-going for that vintagey feel. I only zig zagged the edges (as tight as my machine would let me) to finish them off, like I said I affixed them w/ heat-n-Bond, that also gave them a little extra wieght if you don't use the heat-n-bond and you want to sew them on I would back it w/ some mid weight fusible webbing.

Yay! Thanks!! My girlfriends keep telling me to put them on e-bay- but I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I haven't... I love this bag, I am making a Wizard of oz one for my sis (due in Aug) and a Alice in Wonderland one for me...btw just search Bubble Jet Set and you can find instructions and where to get it, JoAnn's has it online but I've checked 4 stores and haven't found it yet
