Ok, I am such a planner and I hate when I don't totally understand something. Is this correct??? : With the
free dining plan, I can go to say Pecos Bills and get a Burger/Fries combo, soda, and chocolate cake (or whaterver their dessert is) and I pay nothing. Do I really get all that? Then since there are 4 of us, everyone else chooses burger/fries, soda, dessert??
Ok, then we go to a sit down restaurant, say Le Cellier. Do we all get to pick an appetizer, or just one for the four of us? Then we all pick our entree (any one that we want???) and drink, then our dessert after dinner???? It just seems to good to be true!!!
TIA
Paula
You will receive 3 credits per day for each person on the plan. One credit is for TS, one is for CS, and one is for a snack. If you have 4 people on the plan, you'll get 12 credits each day (4 of each kind). The credits are all charged to your card and they are not coded as adult versus child. You can dine whenever you want and you can use as many credits each day as you want. If you wanted, you could use all of your credits on the first day or all of them on the last day. You just use them as you see fit.
Every CS credit will get you a combo meal, a drink, and a dessert. If you order CS meals for four people you will get 4 combo meals, 4 drinks, and 4 desserts.
Every TS credit will get you an appetizer, an entree, a drink, and a dessert. If you order TS meals for four people you will get 4 appetizers, 4 entrees, 4 drinks, and 4 desserts.
A few restaurants are considered "Signature Experiences" and require 2 TS credits per meal. Most restaurants require just one credit per meal.
Meal-sharing is permitted at both CS and TS restaurants. If you choose to share meals (since the portions are HUGE at most restaurants) you can get extra plates and conserve credits. For example, if you order two of the huge chicken/ribs combo meals at Cosmic Rays in MK, you'll only use two CS credits, but the food will be enough to feed 4 people until their stomachs ache (one CS credit would get you 1/2 rotisserie chicken, 1/2 rack ribs, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, drink, and dessert). If you shared a meal like the one in the example, then you have "banked" two CS credits for later. You can use them for the third meal of the day that wouldn't otherwise be covered. Alternatively, you could use them on the last day of your trip after check-out, since that last day wouldn't otherwise be covered by the plan.
You will pay nothing OOP unless you order alcoholic beverages. You just give the server your card, he/she will scan it, and you'll get a receipt showing how many credit you still have left. Tax and 18% tip are included (and the 18% is based on the full amount of your bill if you had paid cash), so you don't even have to tip unless you would otherwise have left more than 18%.
