Are the ones in the store for 20 oz of water?

I finally found a packet of these over the weekend while camping. I was happy since I was able to try it to see if I liked the taste before buying a whole box. I really liked them and it worked great in my spill-proof tumbler from tupperware.

I noticed a box of 20 oz online and it states "not sold in stores." Is this true? If so, I want to order a box on this website I found.

Also, I see people asking about Aspartame or Nutra Sweet. Is there a big concern since this is what it contains? Is this a bad thing or only if your allergic to it?

My DH loves these...Here is what the box says that we purchased at Meijer.

Empty packet into 16.9 fl oz bottle of water (0.5 liter)...One packet makes about 2 (8oz) servings. Packet can be mixed into 20oz bottle of water for a lighter flavor.

DH mixes it into a 20 oz bottle and says it tastes fine.

I think the bigger size for 20 oz. are not the ones we found at Wal-Mart. I have heard that the boxes online are expensive and high shipping costs. The ones we have are for smaller size like 16 oz I think. I like the Wal-Mart brand too. Lots of choices in flavors. We are packing some for our trip in August.

I bought some of Walmart's brand this weekend, much cheaper than the Crystal Light. Haven't tried it yet. They also had the Crystal Light at a much better price than the local grocery store.

Crystal light does come with Nutrasweet... which I cannot have on my Low Carb diet....

However, I did find 4C Ice tea packages this weekend... for about 2.00 less than the Crystal Light. They have several flavors, including Diet Decaf with Lemon and Splenda.... it was terrific!

I use the Wal-Mart ones all the time at work. We have 16.9oz bottles in the machine in the break room. I really like how they taste but sometimes I want a lighter flavor so I poor half a pack in and save the rest for later. I have the Rasberry Ice, Fruit punch, Orange (wake up or some weird name) and Lemonade. I don't care for the peach tea. They are $1.86 for a box of ten but last weekend I found a little small hard plastic box of them on a display that had 5 packs in it for $1. This is perfect to use at Disney.

I just finished a test run with my DD8 using the walmart brands . she loved the raspberry ice and the peach tea. I thought the raspberry was a little too sweet at first but after i started using only 3/4 of a pack it was fine

If you buy 20 oz. bottles of water and the packets are for 16.9 oz. you could just drink a couple of gulps of water first before adding the packet.

Thanks. I think my tupperware cup is like 18 or 19 oz. I didn't know if it would still taste fine if I filled it to the top with the smaller packets or just order the 20 oz. packets online.

How much are the ones from walmart and how many come in a box?

I can find these packets at Food Lion and Walmart. We tried the Walmart brand once, but we didn't care for them. The powder was "lumpy" and hard to get out of the tube. It could've been a fluke, but we're sticking to the Crystal Light now.

I can't find them at my walmart !!! boo hoo I will keep trying i do still have a few months till our trip. Michelle

LOL Amazing how simple that solution is but I never would have thought of it :rotfl2:

lol! That is tooo funny!
hubby said the same thing to me!
Just take a few drinks from the 20 oz bottle first... duh why didnt i think of that!
We always buy the walmart brand of teh CL packets.... and we like them all!
Our fave is the orange early rise, which tastes like tang!

Our boxes at wm, for wm brand have 10 in a box, for 1.86.... the CL ones are also 10 in a box, but they run more like 3.86 a box... so far, we really cannot tell a difference between the CL and off brand so why not save some money!

I also ckd online for them, and I did not find any that were for the 20 oz size bottle of water... OP, do you have the website where you found them? Also, online what I did find, by the time you added shipping it was cheaper to go to the store.

Also, many stores that do have a certain item you are looking for, you can ask the manager and they will start ordering them in! Might try that if you cannot find them!

I found the 20 oz packets online. Here is the website:

I didn't go thru the checkout process so I'm not sure how much the shipping is. I wanted to find out about Walmart prices and how many where in a box first and compare prices. It's a box of 30 for $9.99 so if you like the CL brand, it's probably worthwhile especially when at walmart someone posted that a box of 10 was 3.98 and for smaller packets. Then again, it depends on shipping and if the bigger size is worth it.

I buy the Wal-Mart ones all the time, less than $2 a box. I can't tell the difference between Wal-Mart and Crystal Light. We actually prefer them in a 20 oz bottle of water, in the 16 oz bottle the flavor is a little too strong for us. All the flavors are very good.

eta: Never had lumpy powder from the Wal-Marts either. Always very easy to mix.

We love the Walmart brand, just bought them for the first time last week--as adivsed by Dis members! Bought first at Target, my first stop and I was just excited to find them. 2/$5 14 servings. Then I had to stop at Walmart, so I decided to do a little taste test myself. Honestly, if you campare the PRE-bottled crystal light, to the powder packs
prebottled $2.50 for 4 bottles .63 each -i find them toooo sweet.
powder pack (CL) .28 + .09 sam's 16.9oz water .37 each
powder pack (WM) .17 + .09 sam's 16.9oz water .26 each
I could not taste the difference between CL and WM and if you are budget minded like myself--WM is hands down winner!
Everyone in the family likes it (even DH who is a mountain dew addict and is trying to cut down on pop).
