I've not done much cooking in a one bedroom villa in recent history and was wondering if there is a crock pot or if you can get one from housekeeping?

If you're traveling with a large group, what type of glassware is available to cook/serve casseroles in? Is there a list anywhere about what utensils/dishes are in the one bedroom?

And, does Disney still offer the discount card for dining or is the dining plan all that is available?

I just returned from Kidani a couple of weeks ago. We stayed in a two bedroom and did alot of cooking. There was plenty of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and eating utensils for the 9 people it said the room held. So one can assume that a one bedroom would have enough for 4 (or 5 people) depending on where you stay. If you are a big coffee drinker, the cups they have would hold a very small cup of coffee. So we bought a couple of mugs. As for the cookware - there was a large pot, medium pot and small pot. We had a frying pan and cookie tray. There was a couple of pieces of tupperware, salad bowl, mixing bowl and a couple of corningware dishes for casseroles. We did, however, when shopping for food buy a couple of disposable aluminum pans for cooking in. If I had to wish for something else - it would have been a crock pot. That would make the cooking so much easier. If you are driving I guess you could always bring one along. Have a great time!!

The 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom villas will have the same kitchens (unless it's a dedicated 1 bedroom), and that means the kitchen has enough dishes to accommodate 9 guests at Kidani and BLT and 8 everywhere else.

Sorry, no crock-pots in the villas. For big family reunions I do bring mine! With the 11 or 10 of us a crock-pot helps feed the hungry teenagers.

Thanks to those who answered.I'll check out the link.

Right now, I've reserved a one bedroom, and a studio (for friends who have two young children), so if we do any cooking, it'd be in the one bedroom. If it's a dedicated one bedroom, do you think I'd be able to get additional plates, etc. from mousekeeping?

I don't know about getting the extra plates but you will have large dinner size plates and the medium salad plates along with bowls so you might be able to get by since you have children who could use the smaller plates

Good to know about the salad plates. The two children are around 6 and 10, give or take a year.

For anyone who's taken a crockpot--and flying--how'd you get it there? Ship it?
