? About Confirmation Letter

I made a reservation for a NS 2BR lockoff at OKW for October. The confirmation letter from MS shows the NS request but also says Not Guaranteed. I realize that requests aren't guaranteed but how likely is it not to get NS. Thanks!

I think it is really impossible to say. Just hope for the best, while expecting the worst and you should not be disappointed.

Only a small percentage of DVC rooms are smoking. The odds are in your favor.

OKW generally uses a "room ready" assignment process. If you arrive early in the day, you should have no touble at all getting a non-smoking villa. But JMHO. YMMV.

I have been requesting NS rooms for over 10 years now and I have stayed at WDW over 20 times in that time period at several WDW resorts(including DVC). We have never gotten a room that wasn't NS. I think they have alot more NS rooms than not. I have seen guests use the balcony to smoke in NS rooms which can be a pain., but for the most part WDW handles smokers pretty well.

There was an informal poll about a month ago and with about 300 trips worth of responses, there was something like a 1.5% occurrence of members requesting NS and not getting it. I've also seen comments from people who said they never realized they were in a smoking room until mid-week because there was no odor at all.

We also always make NS our #1 request.

We've been members since '93 and only got a Smoking unit one time. (About 2 years ago). We checked into OKW late on a Sunday (about 9:30 pm) and only two 1-B/R villas were left, both of them smoking. MS sent housekeeping over right away and she used Febreez all over the place, then left the bottle with us for the remainder of our stay. That helped a lot.
