? about checking in at WL

We'll be transfering from the HRH to WL. I would like to know how early we can check in at WL. I would like to check in early-around 10am-12pm and have them hold our luggage while we go to one of the parks. I'm not expecting to have access to my room yet, but would like to take advantage of the bus service or free parking if DH decides to drive to a park and I read that you have a better chance at getting your requests the earlier you check in. Also, will they automatically deliver our luggage to the room once it's ready? One other thing, I requested bunk beds with CRO, do I still need to fax in the same request before we arrive or was our request with CRO enough?

I believe you can check in anytime on the day of your arrival. I have checked in as early as 8:30am and no one else was in line.

your luggage is delivered to your room when you are there. we have checked in at dixie landings as early as 7:00.

You can certainly check in at that time of day... we've done it many times, and a few times have even gotten our room! They will issue your Resort ID Cards (if you leave cash/credit card at check in you can charge to your room) which will give you access to Disney transportation as well as free parking at the theme parks. As far as your room request... I have always just asked our reservation agent to note our room request and we've always been fine. I've never faxed a room controller or anything. However, I always do ask again at check-in just to see. Have a great trip!

When we arrived at WL last December the bellhops took our luggage when we got there and gave us a claim ticket. We checked in around 11:00a and our room was ready but since the curbside bellhops had taken our luggage we had to go to the bellhop desk to give them our room number and then they delivered our luggage to our room. Even if your room wasn't ready you would still be able to use transportation and hit the parks. Also if when you check in a bunkbed room isn't ready yet - be sure to let them know you're willing to wait. We're always willing to wait if we can get a better room!

This is what we have done: Check in early (room usually not ready) and we leave our bags in our rental van. Check in is usually a breeze and not crowded in the a.m. Then we take the boat over to the MK and by the time we are tired out we go back to the resort and our room is ready. Then we get our van and pull up to the valet area and hand over our luggage.
