? about change of clothes

Hi,

I'm a list maker and I'm trying to get down on paper all that we'll need to bring with us inside the parks.

We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. They are fairly neat kids. I've heard some people bring in changes of clothes because they play in the fountains.
Will it be too chilly in late November to do that? Are there other water rides they get so wet on they would need to change their clothes.

Also, do you think that it would be ok to bring the change of clothes and leave them in the car?

Hi - I'm guessing by their ages that you're going to have a stroller? Is this correct? If so - I would say DEFINITELY bring a change of clothes. At that age - anything might happen from playing in the fountain (and then getting cold in wet clothes in the evening at that time of year) to getting ice cream on themselves to getting wet on a ride or having a potty accident. And leaving them in the car is not convenient - Depending where you are in the park it could take you 50 minutes to get to your car and back (out of the park - 10 minutes, on the monorail to TTC - 5 minutes, tram to your car - 10 minutes and then all the way back again). Also - with kids those ages- the clothes are so small that its not a big deal IMO to throw in a pair of shorts, underwear, socks and t-shirt for them, even if you are carrying it.

My kids will be 6 and 8 and I fully intend to bring a change of clothes for them in my backpack each day! We did WDW Thanksgiving week a couple of years ago and, yes, it is still warm and the kids do like to play in the fountains! I am also getting a stroller for them and bought hooks to hang things from so I will not be loaded down all the time!

My kids are pretty neat kids but things happen! They just do. I would much rather have the clothes and not need them than have to run back to the room for them!

When we were there last, DD was 2 and had been potty trained for a few months. But, she was terrified of the automatic flushing potties! She would not go to the bathroom until it was too late many times because of it! I was so glad to have clean panties and shorts in my bag for her each day.

I usually pack a full change of clothes for each child in a zipper bag. This keeps it clean & dry in the back pack, and also allows me to squish out the air & make it smaller!

I have traveled to WDW with kids of all ages (currently we have ds 13, ds 12, dd 7 and dd2), and I no longer carry clothing for anyone. I hate being loaded down at the parks with a bunch of stuff. I did carry something with an infant, but after that I stopped. If something happens, I will buy something in a shop (will buy some clothing anyway) and/or head back to the resort.

I was stressing over carrying extra clothing items one trip when the 3 oldest were 1, 5, and 6. Then I thought, "Do I carry extra clothing when we go out at home? The answer was nope, so I decided not to bother at WDW. We are not commando park people...there from open to close, and we stay on site. Now special circumstances (potty training, a child with loose bowels, etc) may alter this plan some, but in 6 years and 6 trips it has not been an issue for our family.

We were going to get a locker to put a change of clothes in

Our kids are too old for stollers and we don't want to carry round an extra bags all day . I believe if we park hop we can use our ticket to get another locker without having to pay again .
