I've always booked room only usually with AP or Fl resident rates. Next year I'm considering booking a package for the 1rst time. What are the differences I can expect ? We're looking toward the 3rd week in Jan. '06. What type of deposit ? When is the total amount due ? Can you pay a deposit & the balance at check in or is it due a certain amount of days before ? Once you book a package with tickets, dining & hotel what does Disney send you document wise ? As you can tell by this post I like to overplan a tad :rotfl: ! Bear with me I just like to know what to expect. Thanks !!! :wizard:

I can answer some of your questions! I just booked a package yesterday through AAA for Jan 25 - Feb 1. I paid $200 plus a $25 AAA booking fee, and the balance is due 45 days before our arrival date. I believe that these are Disney policies, also (except for the $25 booking fee).

I figured that I saved $225 dollars on the package by booking through AAA (2 connecting rooms at Pop for 7 nights, 2 adult and 2 child 7 day expiring hopper tickets, and the dining plan). The total came to $2,556.78.

If some sort of code or discount comes up later, they can apply that to your previous reservation.

I just booked a package at AAA on Monday, I did not pay a booking fee just the $200. I wonder why you had to pay a booking fee?
