Hi,

I'm wondering about the locations of the buildings. I'm trying to figure out if we're best off paying for the preferred rooms.

My biggest concern is the bus stop. It looks like the Love Bug and the Mighty Ducks buildings are the longest walk to the bus stop. Having stayed at many of the WDW properties I know that sometimes these buildings can be really spread out.

So worst case, we'd end up in one of these locations, paying standard rate. How far (long) is the walk to the bus stop? I'm not really concerned about pool or food court, just the bus stop. But if you'd like to toss in more info about walking to the pools and food court that would be helpful too.

We've never stayed at this location and I've never even seen these ones except in pics and maps. So I have no idea about the size of these properties.

Thanks much!
Pammy

If you were given a room in the Mighty Duck section you walk past the Dalmation section to get there and it is probably about a 5-6 minute walk to the bus stop. That is if you don't have little ones that are walking with you. I would add a few more minutes if there are little ones. There is also a pool in the Mighty Duck section that is not as busy as the main pool.

I think that the Love Bug section is the farthest away from the bus stop. There is no swim pool in this section the closest one would be the main pool.

Hope this helps.

If you stay at Mighty Ducks, you have the option of going to either bus stop, ASMO or ASMU. We found the walk to each was about 5 minutes. After staying at POR, we found ASMO to be very compact. Nothing was really a long walk.

We've stayed at Mighty Ducks and Dalmations and really didn't notice much of a difference. It's not really that far. We had a 4-6 year old and didn't get complaints!

We've stayed at the Movies twice now (both times were the week AFTER Thanksgiving) and we loved this hotel! We thought bus service was better than some of the moderates and deluxes. The first time, we were in Love Bug, and it was a very short walk to the food court/bus stop (maybe about 5-6 minutes) Our room was very quiet and very clean (in fact, the day we checked in, they had just shampooed the carpet!). The next year, we got 101 Dalmations and my youngest DD LOVED this location! Again, it was a short walk to the food court/bus stop (maybe 4-5 minutes).

The bus stop is right outside the gift shop, which is right next to the food court. When you walk outside the food court, there's the main pool. To the left is Toy Story, to the right is 101 Dalmations. In back of the pool (straight ahead) is Fantasia. In back of Fantasia is Love Bug. In back of 101 Dalmations, is Mighty Ducks. The area is really rather compact; none of the buildings are really that far from each other and/or the front building. The front building houses the check in area, the gift shop and the food court.

Enjoy your stay.

We stayed in the Mighty Ducks building, we liked being near the pool, but we kept getting lost everytime we left the main building (food court/bus stop area) to head back to our room in Mightly Ducks. We kept making a wrong turn for some reason. Sometimes we even got lost going to the food court from our room! After about 4 days we finally got it down! We had a really good laugh about it!

It's not that far if you don't get lost, that is.;)

I like the set up of Music it was impossible to get lost. Every building was in a row straight from the main building.

Thanks all, that puts my mind at ease. I'm going to skip the extra$$ and hope I get a ok building. We've just had some bad luck when booking and I think I have a flag on my ressies that say put them in the fartest away location.

I just didn't want to have a 30 min walk from the bus stop after spending the day in a park. 5-10 min is ok, but anything else I'd pay to be closer!!!

You are all the best!

Thanks again!

Pammy
