They say that it is $10/day or more to rent a small frig for your room.........will they scoff at me bringing my own dorm frig in?? Is this allowed?? Also, I've read alot about these refillable mugs......do I understand this correctly? You purchase the mugs......approx $12 each and for your entire stay you can have unlimited beverages?? Also, can anyone suggest a good room to stay in at Toy Story?? Thanks....

I assume you're driving since you're planning on bringing a fridge. If so, even if ASMo didn't want you to bring your own fridge (which I can't imagine why they'd care), you can drive tot he parking lot nearest to your room and then just bring it in. You don't have to go past the front desk with your bags, unless you choose to bring them with you to check-in, but I can't imagine why you'd want to carry the fridge all around the resort, so I'm guessing you'd leave it in the car until you are ready to bring your bags to your room.

For a room, really I think any room in Toy Story is a good choice. We stayed on the 3rd floor of Buzz Lightyear, facing Andy's Room, on the wing closest to Cinema Hall (the main building). It was a great location and we could easily take the stairs to and from the room, which was the closest exit to the main building.

Yep, mugs are 10.99 (plus tax I think) and are good for free refills on sodas, hot cocoa, and I think coffee and tea, but since I never drank those I'm not sure.

We purchased a dispsoable cooler for $3.00 and filled it with ice from the ice machine. We kept it full of water, cokes, juice, milk and yougarts. This was great for morning cereal and juice before hitting the parks. It also iced up our waters and we paked a small six pack cooler to take the water and yougarts to the parks. It kept us going between meals. We were able to spend our money on nice sit down dinner meals. At the end of the stay, we left the cooler for trash.

We also had a cooler in our room when we stayed at ASMo and no one said anything to us, so I'm sure they won't mind a small fridge.
We stayed on the third floor of the Woody building overlooking Andy's room. I'm sorry I don't remember the room number, but it was the corner room to the right of Woody as you look at him. We felt where we were was very centrally located to everything. We did buy the refillable mugs for just my DH and myself (not the kids) and felt it was worth it, but back in Dec. 2001, the mugs were 9.99. I see they have gone up in price, but if you're a big coffee or soda drinker, I think it will still be worth getting the mug.

We take our own fridge all the time (and our toaster too) and we've never had a problem. We checkin, pull our car to the appropriate parking place, put the fridge on our little cart and tote it to the room. That fridge has paid for itself over and over and over again.

I was just at the movies last week and the mugs are $10.99. If you're going to eat at the food court frequently it is a good deal. If you're going to eat most of your meals somewhere else, you might want to rethink.

Have fun!

Is there a specific reason you need the refrigerator or is it just so that you can keep food in the room?

Last year we asked for a refrigerator in our room. When we got checked out and they realized that we needed the refrigerator because we had a five month old and needed to keep his formula in the refrigerator the CM at the front desk removed the daily refrigerator charges from our bill. She said that there is not a charge if a refrigerator is needed for formula or medication.

...the Toy Story building have an elevator???

All buildings have 2 elevators.

I recommend Toy Story #9. It was -- literally -- two minutes or less to the main building, the pool, the food court, the bus.

We were on the top floor, corner room, overlooking the "woods."

We only stayed four days, but after the first one, I regretted not buying the mug. Each coffee was about $2 apiece. Getting two or three cups every morning REALLY added up. It's a good deal, any way you slice it.

Funniest sight at the ASMo: the Morning Mug Brigade! Dozens of Moms and Dads (and sometimes kids) trudging up to the food court, each carrying a couple mugs. Everyone was doing it. Too TOO funny. :p
