Ok, so I understand that the QS program will be bleeped out if I spell it out here...but that is what I'm referring to! We just signed up for it before making new reservations at the lower prices. Can anyone tell me their experience with using this program? Can you really bypass the regular line for the QS service line at MCO? Will it save us time? Thanks!

There is often a fairly long line at the regular counter. We are QS members and at MCO we go directly across the street to the garage, where there is a small office shared by Alamo and National. We check in there and they send us to pick up our car. It has worked well for us.

We used the Quick Silver program for the first time last October, and it went very smooth. Before leaving the terminal, I did notice a bit of a line, so it was a nice feeling not having to wait!
The Quick Silver booth is on the 2nd. floor of the rental parking garage. After 5 mins. in the booth, we were loading up the car.

If you are using a coupon can you still go straight to the garage

We did last October with no problem.

Can you use the QS service if you are using a coupon.
Thanks.

Even though we have a small business account w/Alamo (along w/our QS #), no one has ever mentioned the 2nd floor checkin in area. Guess we've been cooling our heels all this time for no good reason????????????

Alamo CS rep told me that QS only gets you in the "shorter" line @ MCO terminal. Basically, you're just registering your info & CC, lic., etc. in exchange for the supposed shorter wait time.

Although my res. is currently w/Alamo, I dread waiting in their long lines (QS or not - still always nearly an hour for us).

If you're talking about on-line check-in, it is not available w/a coupon.

We have used a coupon w/EA w/no problem.

i'm not sure what you mean about the line with QS. We used it a couple of yrs ago and there was noone in that line (the regular line was huge)

My brother used QS last year and he said he just walked out the garage and went to the special booth out there. Again, little to no wait in line.

I have an Alamo reservation for May that I made using a coupon. I just signed up w/QS. Can I go to the little office in the garage? Will I receive a QS card in the mail?

Thanks

Did you make the reservation before or after joining QS? If the reservation was made BEFORE, try calling Alamo and giving them your new QS number. They may be able to add the QS number. A coupon is not a problem, but the reservation must include your QS number. You should receive a QS card in the mail.

Do you have to own a business to register for QS?

How do we get to the rental booth? You pick up luggage on the 2nd floor, but you have to go down to the first to get to the parking garage? Then you walk up to the 2nd to get to the booth? We will be on the B side if that matters.

Hi,
The Alamo Quick Silver booth is on the second floor of the rental car parking garage.

Just cross the street where the rental counters are in the terminal. (just walk on by:))

You'll see an escalator right after crossing the street. The elevator's right there, too.

It's easy to find, as there are signs.

WOW!!! Thanks for all your posts with great info! I know this really helps myself as well as the others who've posted with similar questions.

We rebooked with QS this time and I'm excited to know we shouldn't have to wait.

One more ?...where can we find our QS number? I know our new ressie has a barcode at the top with letters and numbers, but when I typed this in when they asked for a number, it said it wasn't correct. But when I logged in, the reservation regestered I was a QS member. Thanks!

OK, lets see if I've got this straight.

As a QS member, I go to the booth in the garage and do the paperwork.

I can then pick out my car.

When I drive the car out, what do I do at the exit booth? Do I hand them something (the tag that is hanging in the car)?

Alamo and National use the same exit booths. I am a National EC member and all the stuff is handled at the exit booth (license, credit card, etc).

That's pretty much it, Ed. We did a quick minute stop at the exit booth for something. Possibly gave her the tag (don't recall doing that, though)or she had to see the rental paperwork or something like that.
And like you said, the license, credit card, etc. is done at the first QS booth, before picking out the car.
It all went very smooth for us.

so when I go sign up for Quick Silver...I choose the small business option? They don't have QS for individuals?
