Able to change my port arrival time to earlier

I was a morning late doing online check in 30 (not 60) days out and got 1130 am for our fantasy cruise this Saturday. I’ve been stalking the online check in every day many many times a day and today scored 1045am port arrival time!!! Woo hoo!
We are on here too!! I was a speedy Gonzalez on check in day and got 10:45am but didn’t see anything earlier then that so maybe 10:45 is the earlier PAT for everyone other then DCL transportation and concierge!?

Did you note that the request is due to a medical issue? I wonder if that would help at all.

yes, it is noted for medical reasons. My TA and I discussed prior to booking, plus it’s indicated in my client file too from DU. I will probably ask her to check soon with DCL, but was hoping the phones get better first. (I check on the app frequently, as I’m waiting for my cabin assignment).

I always check through the app....pull up your reservation and go to My Online Check In and click in the blue bar that says Pending Review. A blue screen with Mickey and the ship will show up saying "You're all set to sail". Scroll down the page until you see Port Arrival Time (not View Port Arrival Form) with Donald next to it (see pic below). Click in there and the times available should show. Keep checking. I was also able to get an earlier time by checking.

did you also do your online check in on the app?
we haven't been on DCL since 2019, when the app was only for onboard use (and was pretty useless for our european cruise for some reason), so i'm completely unfamiliar with current uses.

Yes, for our last 3 cruises since cruising restarted. Found it easier than the computer for check in. Of course do whichever you feel more comfortable with. If you use the computer make sure your passport and ID pics are already loaded to make it a smoother check in.

thanks! i've noticed everyone mentioning pics - do they specify size/content like with passports?
we have 4 rooms that have to check in.
they're actually all linked so i can probably check in everyone, but it's 9 people so it might take a while..
though i suppose if i manage to check one in and get a good PAT, the other 3 can go with us?
not sure about that.....
let's see - it's at midnight, so what time will it be for me? hmm...that's at 7 am my time...
i'll probably be the only one able to be online, everyone else will be headed for work...
so i guess my job is to get everything in jpg format so i can easily upload, right?

we're on the disney wish in july, so we're just a few days away from excursions etc, but i see that PAT and online check in are only at 30 days.

i can't believe we might actually be going this time.
So many visits to WDW and DCL and RCI cruises have been cancelled over the past 2 years. And an ABD trip to DL too.

i haven't been to the states since October 2019 (couldn't even get to my sister in detroit, who died in march 2020).
i haven't been on a plane since october 2019. So strange!!!

anyway, fingers crossed it all goes well this time!!

I wonder if the rules will change for the under 5 unvaccinated.
As it stands, we'll have to find a place to get our 4 year old granddaughter a PCR test before the cruise - but we'll be at WDW at the time. Another challenge.
I guess i should search to see if someone has posted that information.

No - you are expected to go with the latest time group if you want to go together and have different times.

if i'm checking everyone in at the same time, it takes time to move from one room to the next.
Four rooms is time consuming for 9 people.
How much information needs to be completed before you get to the PAT?
probably you at least have to upload all 9 passports and photos.
well, we shall see.

Curiously, having to do it at 7 am is actually more difficult than midnight.

two cabins is tough enough for me. My only tip is to click cash on the page that ask for payment/credit card on file while on ship. You can go back afterwards and add that cc. Also if there are kids, I just chose anything that doesn’t slow me down. The parents can go back to modify. fill out the forms later, the uploads are the time consuming part. Sometimes phones work better, sometimes my good old computer. I spent time making sure everthing was saved on my computer in case the phone uploads didn’t work. Believe me,that was a lot of work too. But glad I did, because my phone wouldn’t upload last time. If you get the “blue circle of death” dont spend too much time trying over and over. Try another device or another server. You’ll lose a lot of time here. Good luck.

What I found was that the uploading of the photos was the hard part. It seemed to circle on it and then ask for them again. I don't remember a limit on how many times you can be logged in, so maybe use multiple tabs to start other rooms? Definitely finish one room before moving on to the next.

My passport photos were all around 1-1.5 mbs and my head and shoulders photos were around 500-600 kbs. Not sure if they could have been smaller, but they were accepted. I had them all cropped and in a separate directory, so they were really easy to find when I needed them.

Don't fill in things you can change later, like just use the "same credit card" for all the ones in the same room, since you can change that later and say everyone's driving (unless you need them to know your flight plans).

Another thing I did to expedited is have a file open with all my data typed in - names, addresses, passport numbers, expiry dates of passports, emails, credit cards and their expiry dates. That way, I was copying and pasting, not trying to type something in and possibly making a mistake.

If you get a PAT that is within 15 minutes of the others, chances are, they won't care at the port. They didn't with us. But maybe if it's more than that, you might have to wait until the later PAT or go separately.

thanks!! those are great suggestions.
I didn't know we could go back in later to change cash to credit card.
i also remember it taking a long time to answer all the questions about the grandkids and the kids clubs when we were on the magic in 2019.
so i guess i can skip those and do them later? or do whatever is the shortest answer and then revise it later..

cutting and pasting is definitely a smart thing to do!!!
meanwhile, my husband just tested positive for covid...we've been trying to get him paxlovid, but his doctor's on vacation....it's late at night here already, so we'll have to try again tomorrow...
since he has lymphoma, he was given evusheld last week before he got sick, so maybe that will help....
it's always something...
