Here's our situation... DD and I have Premier passes since we live by D-land and go to WDW at least 2x a year. DH will be going with us to WDW next year and I am considering booking a package for Free Dining. Since DD and I don't need the park tickets from the package I was wondering if in CA you could apply unused WDW tickets to renewal of APs. I know it works in FL to apply unused tix as well as upgrading used tickets. Anyone have experiences/knoweldge of this?? :)

Thanks!

You may be able to apply them to a premiere pass if you can find a CM that's willing to try Since they can only convert WDW to DL tickets one day at a time, I don't think they could put them towards a DL AP.

We tried to use an unused WDW ticket to upgrade a DL AP to a Premiere AP last December without any luck. The CMs at the DL AP processing center had no idea how they would value such a ticket as they told me they could not read the encoded value and were not authorized to give us the gate price.

I had already been told in an email from ticket services at WDW that we could not use a WDW ticket to upgrade a DL AP at WDW because you cannot combine 2 tickets.

We are holding on to the tickets to use when we are able to start our "Disney AP year" with a WDW trip. I hope the OPs luck is better than mine. -- Suzanne

As I understand it, you cannot use any admission ticket to renew your AP. YMMV as things seem to change all the time.

It might be possible to use a completely unused WDW ticket toward the premier AP renewal, but I would try that at WDW rather than Disneyland. Again, YMMV

BTW, it used to be possible to book free dining packages without getting park tickets if you have AP's. Not sure if this is still the case.

Thanks for the responses. I appreciate all of your input/suggestions!

Worst case scenario, I book a room only reservation and just buy DH's park tickets separate. (Hopefully, I will be fortunate enough to get an AP discount for our travel dates as I have been able to do in the past!)

This isnt exactly what you are asking, but I just upgraded my WDW AP to the Premier AP at DL. I went to a regular ticket window. They called WDW to find out the value of my AP, then applied it against the Premier AP. So, I know that at least that is possible.

I am in the same boat as you are. I booked free dining at WDW and had to get the 2 day base tickets. I would like to use them (I will have 2) to renew my Premier AP. I sure hope this is possible.

Hmmm.... the problem appears to be in CA! :) My first Premier pass was no problem to apply tickets to that type of pass at WDW!
Thanks for sharing your experience! :goodvibes

I still have a couple tickets that we didn't use at WDW last year, I wonder if I could apply the cost of them to my DH's tickets?? Not sure if that is possible.

If they are unexpired days on those ticket, you can add days to it. But they will need to be unexpiring days too, which of course cost more.

The big problem is to get Free Dinning at WDW everyone need to be on the package, that includes room and tickets and dining plan(though it's free). So your passes won't be needed because you will all have to buy tickets.

You are best to use your Premier AP for a room discount and get a Table in Wonderland card for discounted dining.

My TIW card is good through 5/31/12 so I will use it for our Feb. 2012 trip but will have to renew for our summer 2012 trip.

Thanks for your input - you are a wealth of great info!
