Abercrombie or Hollister

yea, they want fit people to wear their clothes and you can shop where ever you want. Nobody makes you shop at a certain store.

Maybe heavy sized people want to wear there clothes, but they cant since they dont make larger sizes.
That's ridiculous, IMO. I think clothing stores like this are a big reason for why teenage girls have eating disorders.

Maybe I want to shop at Tarrids, or any other plus sized store. But I can't because I am not plus sized. Same concept in my opinion....

Plus size stores are designed because stores like Hollister don't carry there sizes. I don't think thats the same concept at all.

:confused3

That's the way the company wants their clothes size's.

Abercrombie is love.

Hollister is okay...but for example:

Yesterday I needed two new polos, one in gray and one in white. I went to A&F first and got one in gray then I got one in white from Hollister. Abercrombie's was more expensive by $10 BUT I believe it is made with a nicer fabric. Just my 0.02.

Jim Jim Hollister and his buddies, Abercrombie and Fitch!:goodvibes

I only shop at Hollister out of the 2 of them.
I just prefer there clothes for a better rate.
But I dont shop at Hollister much at all still.

I buy most of my things from Nordstroms, Aeropostale, Papaya, Ralph Lauren, American Eagle, Macys, and Tommy Hilfiger

i dont shop at either. mainly because there isn't one near by. oh, and they're both expensive. old navy gets a lot of my business because their clothes are cute and really cheap.

On a nicer note...

Macy's, Hot Topic, and sports stores get my business. And Aeropostale because they stock my size.

The "fit not fat" argument is complete bull excrement. Just because someone wears a size 11 doesn't mean they are not fit. Being fit comes down to healthy, excersing, eating the right foods. Just because you are a aize 1 doesn't mean you are fit.
If skinny is this companies idea of fit, they aren't getting any of my business. They can take my money and stick it where the sun don't shine.

I tried to get that across in an earlier post, but apparently I phailed with a ph.

I wear an 11 because of my hips. That's my genetics, not my food choices.

I excercise daily- I play volleyball and track and field 3 seasons out of the year. I eat right, too. "Fit" isn't super skinny. "Fit" is healthily built.

Not even that, wouldn't you think it would be a smart business move to market towards all aspects of the teenage race, not just the "fit" ones. Think of the money they'd make if only they sold more sizes.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

i really do love both stores.. but if i had to choose i would say hollister, u have more of a variety when u are looking there, and i usually always find stuff that fits me perfectly :]

Exactly. To me, it's part of what alienates me. I'm not what they intended to see their clothes on, thus they tend to look really bad on my body type.

Like I stated earlier, my local A&F (we don't have a Hollister) almost never has jeans over size 7 and I don't think I've ever seen an XL shirt from there.

It's almost like they're taunting me: "You're a size 11!!! Fatty! Look at our supposedly super sexalicious models and drive yourself to anorexia to be like them so you can wear our clothes!".

That's what I get from their ads, and that's alienating a lot of people.

But the other reason that I agree that they sell sex is that for a while they had thongs with phrases like "gimme some sugar" and "kiss this" in the pre-teen section of some of their stores. 10, 11, and 12 year old girls have no business wearing thongs in general.
I agree with you even though i have clothes from both places.
When i went to maine and bought clothes i didn't fit in a large sweater and my mom asked the girl if they had x-large and the girl said that they try to get the really skinny girls to buy their clothes.
I personally think they should carry extra large.

If you can't fit in the clothes, don't shop there? That's not really a reason to dislike the store. That's the choices the company makes, and obviously they do make great business out of it.
