Well, this showed up on ABD's facebook page just now:

A new adventure is arriving soon! Can you guess where we'll be taking you next?

Texas? Seems most likely to me.

Our guide suggested Nashville, TN was a new tour coming up....that's where my bet is.

Wow! I would love to have a trip that's close enough to drive to! Airfare is what limits our vacations so much.

Nashville definitely sounds more interesting than Texas to me, but I'm not sure either will make my "must do" ABD list. sayhello, any insight into ABD's recent pattern of releasing new itineraries off cycle (i.e., Norway last summer and now this new itinerary)? It seems odd when a lot of hard-core ABDers would have booked in May when itineraries were released.

I live in TX and have visited Nashville several time and neither sounds interesting to me. Both are extremely easy and relatively inexpensive to do well on your own. I commend them for trying to expand their market and try some more weekend trips, but this doesn't appeal to me. I guess I should withhold judgement until I see the itinerary.

It is odd they're releasing these mid season. I can't figure that one out.

No insight at the moment. It's definitely a different business model for them. I'll see if I can get any insight from my contacts, and I'll let you know! :thumbsup2

Sometimes, deals are struck off cycle and new itineraries seem to "just come together".

This also may be testing the waters before committing to a full season with guides, hotels and attractions.

The Norway Adventure received a huge boost from Frozen.

Maybe there is a country music film in the works.:)

If it's Nashville, it could have to do with the TV show... They already have the music at Big Thunder Ranch in Disneyland.

When I did the napa trip they did say another short trip was in the works in the middle of the country but no further specifics.

I think a Texas Adventure(or Nashville) would be inticing to Foreign adventurerers. I would find no value in a Texas or Tennessee Trip for me.

Texas is so big, that the trip would have to be isolated to a smaller geographic region. San Antonio > Houston > Austin.

With these locations of interest...

SA

Houston

Austin/Hill Country

Just scratching the surface...

A lot of really interesting options, Mike. I know as a visitor to San Antonio, I really loved the Alamo & the Riverwalk (especially at night). But not in the summer!

I don't know if Disney PR is THIS good but this past weekend there were a smattering of Nashville and Memphis-related stories in our San Diego paper and in Parade...

...well the photo is labeled "nashville-teaser" so I think I know what I'm putting my money on... :D

It's on the original image file, not in the above link (which appears to be someone's private Imagebucket service.)

On facebook? I tried looking at the original image file, and the name was just a jumble of letters and numbers. :confused3 Oh, well! Good job!

The ABD long weekend Nashville itinerary is now on the ABD website. It actually looks like a very interesting and cool trip, with a number of tie-ins to the Nashville TV series. I would definitely not call myself a country music fan, but I will admit that I do watch and enjoy Nashville and enjoy the music on the show. I am actually putting this one on my "would like to do" list. Here is a link to the info on the ABD website:

i love how disney says 4 day trip when the last day is breakfast on your own and ride to airport
