ABD Backstage Magic 2/20 - 2/25/11 *** Close to Selling Out***

Hi Folks,

I am happy to say that I got a call from Disney / ABD letting me know that everyone traveling on a 2011 Backstage Magic Adventure will definitely receive a 4 day park hopper ticket as part of the package.

So I have to admit I am a bit ignorant as to how a 3 day ticket will help me more than a 4 day ticket, how many days we go to the parks, and if I should be flying out Sunday rather than Saturday night (by 7pm) to make use of this extra day. I suppose I could figure it out by listening to the podcast of the original tour but you all seem to be so in tune I figured I would try the group first.

BTW - thanks kevin for all your work on our behalf. :yay:

Here is Pete's review of the tour of Universal when they did it. Sounds like Saturday would be a better day than Sunday. Contemplating flying in Friday night to do this tour Saturday.

Thank you, I have been looking for that review!!

We are thinking that the Saturday tour would work better for us also, let us know if you decide to come in early, we are already scheduled for Friday arrival.

Did I hear correctly in the latest Dismeyland podcast that Pete was going to request that we stay at the Disneyland Hotel instead of the Grand Californian? What are the chances of this happening?

The Backstage Magic Adventure has always had a 4 day ticket. You use three of the four days while on your Adventure and had a fourth day to use on the day of departure. This meant that you could visit the parks up until it was time to depart for your flight home. Having the fourth day allowed you just that extra bit of magic.

Without telling anyone, this was changed to a 3 day ticket for 2011. I read about this change on the Dis and called ABD to verify the information. After 3 different ABD cast members assured me that it was a 4 day ticket, I was eventually told that no....it was a three day ticket.

After several calls, letter writing and general "carrying on" this was eventually changed back to a 4 day ticket.....which is what everyone thought it was to begin with.

So in effect....nothing really changed from what you originally thought you were getting.

The only reason I posted the information is that there was some discussion and debate on the ABD board and the ABD website stated a 3 day ticket (in really small print).

I just wanted you to hear it from me that ABD has guaranteed the 4 day ticket for all 2011 BSM Adventures.

Always to the point Kevin... I love that, lol. I hope to run into you at the Food and Wine Classic on the 9th. I booked the package with some friends and my folks.

On a side note, I'm in on the Saturday Universal trip... :thumbsup

Can we get a head count for a Saturday VIP tour at Universal?

If we get enough people, we can get a discount.

I will call Universal on Monday to see exactly what is required to hold spaces for a Saturday tour and post their response and requirements.

Head count - Cathy and Frank are in for Saturday. That's two.

jj72wdw - JJ - yes?

I'm out for the tour...I can not justify the 2 additional hotel nights...so have some extra fun for me!

Hi everyone! I was on the April BSM trip, and I've just finished my scrapbook and thought I would share it with you all. There are pages of things we did on our own time and our own dime. So if you're wondering if the trip goes to Sunnydale and by the Charmed house, it doesn't! :rotfl: Ours also did not go to Giffith Park to see Walt's Merry Go Round, so you would have to do that on your own too.

There are SPOILERS in here folks, so don't click the link if you don't want to see them.

I hope you all have as much fun and magic as we did!
