ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

:confused3

They check the tracks with a horse and cart? ;)

Oh, sure, leave it to you to quote it as a memorial to another moronic moment forever. :lmao:

Philharmagic is one of my favs as well!

It saddens me that I will never get to ride Snow White again, I never did get that one last ride when I visited back in May. :sad2:

Yeah, it's tragic that it's disappearing. Guess we'll all have to go to DLR to get that appley- good attraction now. ;)

Great update! :thumbsup2

I love the picture of y'all around the trash can, very cute. The newlywed couple look like they are having a good time, or at the very least confused as to what in the world is going on.

So what was the float you were drinking? Coke, rootbeer?

I know how crazy your life is right now, so thankyou for taking the time to write another update. :lovestruc

I LOVE that picture of us around PUSH!! One of my favorites from the trip :)

That was actually a cappucino float! It was so, soooooooo good!!

You are very welcome.

Dude! I always do a picture of my feet on the TTA! Who knew? ;)

You know what I love about the Philharmagic? It's one of the only 3D experiences Disney's had that's not scary. That makes it awesome in my book. Never mind the yummy smells. :goodvibes

HAHA, I tried and tried to get Tim to get one too, but it was a no-go. Everyone needs this portrait! :rotfl:

YES! Philharmagic is full of all the feely-good stuff that makes it fun for everyone! :thumbsup2

Of course, apple pie smell doesn't hurt the experience, now. Does it?

Congratulations on your award Liesa!!!!! :worship: :worship: :yay::yay: :yay::yay: :lmao::lmao:

Grrrrrrrreat update!!!

Philharmagic is one of our favorites too! :wizard:

I had to LOL at Mary's foot picture on the TTA. I totally forgot she had that monstrous boot on her foot!

Hope everything is well and you are all set for the ball! princess:

Yeah, I"m not sure whether I should thank you or...??? HAHA!

I actually enjoyed writing this update a lot more than the last several. I need to get my writing mojo back on, that's for sure!!

Yeah, that was the whole reason she was in wheelchair. I just realized that my last 2 trips to Disney parks were with people in wheelchairs. HUH! Sure gives a unique perspective to park touring.

Things are well, but very emotional lately. Lots and LOTS going on...

Fabulous update Liesa! I really do think you have a gift for writing...it's very witty and succint!:thumbsup2

Awww, thanks!! You've very sweet!! I really liked writing this last update!! Lately my writing has been "just get it up", but I took my time with this one, and apparently it was worth it :)

I did know that the castle is called a "weenie" too! Though truthfully I don't get why it's called that.:confused3

I"m not sure either.. although I think I remember reading it in one of my Imagineers books. I should go back and find it.

Isn't it sad that Snow White's Scary Adventure is going by the wayside? I think so, I love those classic dark rides.:headache: The first time I rode it with my youngest (then 4), she buried her head in my armpit and only resurfaced when I assured her the ride was indeed over! It is a little freaky, kinda like a haunted house in a way, but I love it.

Yes, very sad to see them all going one by one. I especially miss Mr. Toad!

My daughter was the same way with Snow White, but she soon got over it, and all was well :)

I don't do the teacups at all. I would be hurling Mickey waffles all over my family if I did! I cannot handle circular motions like that. I do have to say that I'm surprised ol' Jack Sparrow didn't regale you with is presence too! Shame on him. I'm sure he didn't know what he was missing.

Some people really DON'T like the spinny rides at all!! Tis' ok, makes the lines shorter for the rest of us. Hey, and as a bonus, keeps them puke free too :)

As for Jack, well, what treasures he could have had! :bride:

Nice feet pic! I see your bandaged blister too!

Those blisters were the bane of my entire existence that week! HOLY cow, I've never had so much frustration with those! I think by that day, things were beginning to improve, but it was a slow road to comfort for sure!!

Great update. I LOVE Mickey's Philharmagic and could watch it several times a trip.

I think you should have gone with your plan of taking one of those cute men home until you got that AP.

HI Kathy!!

I always try to hit up Philharmagic at least a couple times too!! LOVE it!

Yeah, Happy would've looked awfully cute in my front yard. And knowing Disney and their generosity with free AP's, he'd have been there a LONG, LONG time. :lmao:

HAHA, I tried and tried to get Tim to get one too, but it was a no-go. Everyone needs this portrait! :rotfl:
Hey! I did too take one for you!!!!!!

See? Told ya!!! No photoshopping necessary! :lmao::lmao:

Nice chapter Liesa! I like the picture with Push.

And speaking of feet:

DSCN0224.jpg

What's neat is that I can tell who each of these pairs of feet belong to: the boot on the right is obviously Maroo's, the tanned gams on the left must be LeAnn, and that leaves (insert hairy feet joke here) in the center. :rolleyes1 ;)

o_O, how in the HECK did THAT happen?!? Ok, I'll take that off, and find the real one... :scared1:

but hey, glad SOMEONE'S still paying attention. ;)

It happens to me sometimes. As I am cutting and pasting links, the only difference if the photo number so until I preview I have little idea of what is actually happening. :lmao:

Why thank you! I see a ticker under your name there, my friend! Lucky ducky.
(I'm sure it's been there a while now, just haven't noticed...)

Yeah, LeeAnn is ALWAYS tanned and gorgeous; well, that and she had just been on a 2 week vacation to Priest Lake with skiing and water sport...

Hardeeharhar... BTW, I've been meaning to ask... to braid or not to braid??

Oh, sure, leave it to you to quote it as a memorial to another moronic moment forever. :lmao:

i fixed it a bit so people will just wonder.:confused3 :lmao:

That and Mr. Toad. Hopefully I will get to go next Oct.

Hey! I did too take one for you!!!!!!

And Juliana still has her sparkly shoe.;)

Sounds like a fun day at the MK!

I used to really enjoy Philharmagic as well, but this last trip I thought it was not at all "technological WOW" - as you put it. It was very blurry and I must say after having seen quite a lot of 3D movies recently, I thought that Disney's version definitely looked much less crisp and clean than what you can see at the cinema. Made me very sad. The rumour is that Philharmagic will get an update to digital, so maybe that will help... :confused3

But, the good news is, that maybe you will be able to get your wish about the dwarf! The ride will close early 2012 and will be transformed into a princess meet & greet. The "replacement" will be the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coaster" which will be part of the new Fantasyland. And there is a website which sells off old stuff from Disney called Mousesurplus. So, maybe your dwarf will end up there???

I couldn't have said it better myself. So instead, I'll put this...

It's so nice to do this with kiddos and know they won't be scared of anything too...never mind grown up kiddos who get scared, like me. :lmao:

Of course, apple pie smell doesn't hurt the experience, now. Does it?

Throw in apple pie smell and it's all good.

i fixed it a bit so people will just wonder.:confused3 :lmao:

haha, and I actually ended up accidentally deleting it from PB. So, my flubup is now gone forever!!

I LOVED Mr. Toad!! Sad times... Sad times.

Sounds like a fun day at the MK!

HUH! I didn't notice it there (whereas I REALLY did on the France one) but then again, I don't go to any 3D movies here, so I can't compare. Are you sure you had your 3D glasses ON?? ( JK!) I agree anytime they're gonna update with digi has got to make an improvement!

Hmmm.. you have me thinking.... I wonder if I'll get to see the new FLand anytime soon. that's certainly motivation to stay in school and work hard!!

I couldn't have said it better myself. So instead, I'll put this...

DSCI0155.jpg

Throw in apple pie smell and it's all good.

I didn't see any toes on Tim's, but saw a whole lotta hairy leg. ;):lmao: Yours is MUCH better to look at!

Not to mention the air conditioning. Oh wait. I did.

What kind of drink was that? I thought it was a dolewhip float at first....but the brown color makes me think not.;)

You DID you know that the icon of each park IS called a “weenie” right?? Yessiree… that’s the affectionate name Walt himself bestowed upon the large, obtrusive, centerpiece of his parks.

I did! Just...not sure what else you want me to say here. :rotfl:

The photographic evidence tells me we first hit up Philharmagic- quite possibly my personal favorite attraction in all of Fantasyland.

That is a great one. Does it seem especially loud to you, though? My kids always end up covering their ears and cowering in their seats. :confused3

Snow White’s world was definitately NOT devoid of trouble, but that was because she was pretty naïve and well, stupid, but that’s a debate for another day.

Speaking of stupid, check out the new trailer for Julia Roberts' new Snow White move! :sad2:

On a hot day, that right there is a pretty good way to spend a snack credit!

Today's kind of cold here, but I still wouldn't mind downing one of those. :thumbsup2

I never get tired of this relaxing ride around TL. Never.

Agreed. :goodvibes

That was a cappucino float... and oh so yummy!!!

My prayers are going out for your Mom Camille:hug:

Liesa What is that drink??? Is it an iced Capp>>????

It was a float with soft serve in it. :cloud9:

Aw, you're sweet to notice how hair free my legs are. ;)

:lmao:

I know... just like everyone else imagines hair on my feet. :lmao:

I did! Just...not sure what else you want me to say here. :rotfl:

I think we can be safe to leave that one alone. :lmao:;)

That is a great one. Does it seem especially loud to you, though? My kids always end up covering their ears and cowering in their seats. :confused3

Yeah, admittedly it does. But then, I find ALL of them way too loud. I still like it though.

Speaking of stupid, check out the new trailer for Julia Roberts' new Snow White move! :sad2:

I should do that. My kids said the same thing... looks WAY stupid. I think I'll pass.

Today's kind of cold here, but I still wouldn't mind downing one of those. :thumbsup2

It was very tasty! And a good deal for a snack credit.

Oh yea.... that's what you wanted- to see my toes. Well let me just say that it is better you didn't see them. :lmao::lmao:

Oh great. Now you are insulting my legs! :headache::headache: :rotfl2:

I'm allowed. ;)

Why are they painted??

Why thank you! I see a ticker under your name there, my friend! Lucky ducky.
(I'm sure it's been there a while now, just haven't noticed...)

Yeah, it's been there about a month or so. Actually, tomorrow I make the reservations for the Vero portion of the trip, so I hope that goes as planned.

Yeah, LeeAnn is ALWAYS tanned and gorgeous; well, that and she had just been on a 2 week vacation to Priest Lake with skiing and water sport...

I seldom use the word "gams", but it seemed appropriate in this case.

Hardeeharhar... BTW, I've been meaning to ask... to braid or not to braid??

Hmmm....braid. And work some of those beads in too, that'd be cool. ;)
