I appreciate the reminder but be aware that not all states have an election this year.

oooo interesting! We have a TON of local stuff, mayor, city commission, those random judges you vote yes or no on, "school board" (why in the world do they call it board of education for the city haha)

I have never voted in person on election day (early a few times) because I am lazy and don't feel like writing down who I want to vote for after doing all the research. I just get my absentee ballot and sit down for an hour and a half and research all the things and mark them down right that moment. I honestly couldn't tell you all the people I ended up voting for, but at this point it doesn't matter because I voted and I can't change anything beyond that. If someone in office does something enough to make me want to write a letter expressing my disappointment (or however I tell them to straighten up haha), it wouldn't matter if I voted for them or not.

But this year I mailed it last Monday and it wasn't registered until Saturday! I was stressin. I need to do the drop box at the early voting locations (sadly, my closest early voting doesn't have a drop box booooo) from now on.

Yep, we got nothing going on locally, not even dog catcher. There are some areas of my state that have some local contests but not my area.

iiinnnteresting!

also, do we have dog catcher votes anymore? hahaha

in those spots where no voting, someone should have a party! haha

Yeah, we don't have anything on tap for tomorrow. Sometimes with local stuff, it's not always on the first Tuesday in November. I do try to make it a point to vote though.

I love that I read that title and thought you were saying "vote if you're not registered" not telling people to register if they haven't. :scratchin
Sadly that might be a bright spot in the day I've avoiding starting by hanging out on the boards.

We don't have anything to vote here either. There are no state-wide issues or positions for re-election at this time. Most of our local stuff and the school board/budget is done in March.

Some of us voted by mail weeks ago, other did early voting Sunday because they aren’t available to vote today.

We voted last Saturday morning. We actually got to the library (it being just one of the locations and but one of the library locations available) right when they opened for voting and there was a small line. Majority of the time we are just going at some point during the day and don't usually have a line at the libraries. It was quick and easy like normal though.

For us we had 2 out of 3 school board positions on the ballot that went unopposed and one that the opponent withdrew after their name was on the ballot so if they win (which has happened before but for another position) it'll be a different process. Then we had community college board of trustees positions (up to 4 you could select out of 8). And finally the city council.

We were to have a public safety sales tax renewal at the county level on the ballot but was removed months back and is being contested through the courts (as in if the ballot measure is legal).

It was categorized as a "City General" election for us due to what was on the ballot (as opposed to a "General Election" or "Primary Election")
