ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

I just posted on my thread about that. We've thrown out a bunch...Judy got tired of them taking up cupboard space.
Dumb.gif

:lmao: Hey Gulliber. ;)

Alright boys! I'll have you know we girls are totally fine if we wear the same thing! :snooty: So there! We may even show pictures, if your good. :goodvibes By the way Marv, Liesa says she'd gladly clean sitting on the floor with a toothbrush if you'll unclog the toilet. :scared: And NO I didn't clog the toilet, I know where your mind is going.

Coming to Liesa's has been a blast so far, we've had some adventures already! Liesa's pulled some classic Liesa moments, can't wait to share those!

I've been more than welcomed here and I think her husband Mike thinks I'm a real person now and not some strange, overly obsessed Disney freak. :rolleyes1 Sucker! :rotfl:

Well, actually, we're not totally sure WHO clogged the toilet.... soooo...

It was a blast! Hopefully, this week we'll get some stuff up.

And you've been more than welcome here! We've loved having you here- you can come back any time. I think once spouses who "don't get it" see that other DISers are real live NICE people, they are less suspicious. At least I hope that's the case with Mike.

thing is i bet marv has about 3 of the outfits the ladies will be wearing in his collection...

glenn if you read it all the way to the end..you might notice it was an april fools joke.:sad2:

and dont say you knew that because we know you better than that.

read the comments as well.
:rolleyes1

Liesa, such great news!!!! Congrats to your DH, I'm sure you're all breathing a collective sigh of relief. So many times we hem and haw over decisions we make but God sure works through that, doesn't He? Time and again DH and I have learned that lesson. I'm so glad for you!

Your poor ankle! Good grief! I've always said cleaning is hazardous to one's health, now you're proven my hypothesis!

Good luck with chemistry class too. I hope that professor lets you in. Have you considered using the Liesa greeting on him??;)

Ugh, you boys are running wild over here on Liesa's thread. First off, girls aren't that shallow that we'd actually run to change our entire outfit if someone else was wearing it. We'd do the classy thing and strut around telling ourselves that we look better in it than they do.;)

Hey Molly! That's a great way to put it! We are breathing a collective sigh of relief, and definitely doing a happy dance!

If it's not the chemicals that will give us cancer, it's the sitting there doing not much that will. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I couldn't get it, but it's all good- lots of other stuff coming down the pipeline for us now. HOwever, had I been like 3rd on the waitlist, instead of 14th, it just may have worked to use the Liesa Greeting. I sometimes forget I have that in my arsenal.

Can't WAIT until tonight! To finally get a chance to meet the real, live folks that I've read about in various threads (mostly lurking)! I may just be starstruck! :worship:

Trying to decide how early I should leave home tonight...Mapquest states it should take 1 hour, 17 minutes to get to the restaurant, but it's Friday and I'll be travelling during rush hour. :drive:

I'll be the one with the navy blue Disneyland jacket carrying this:
DooneyBourke.jpg

I think your bag totally made it easy for Tammie to find you. MIght have been awkward to ask too many more ladies if they were you. :lmao:

I hope you learned right away that I have all authority to baptize. :rotfl2: I don't know then if you should be starstruck or scared to death. :dance3:

More in reply to your next post!

I'm not buying that one for a single second! You would change and then walk around thinking how much better you WOULD have looked if only everyone had gotten to see you wearing it!!! ;)

Well played...

Ugh, you know nothing about women and fashion, do you Marv? Hang on, I'm going to call Ali and confirm that...

Do you REALLY have her number!? I need that! :lmao: So when he gets mouthy I can bust him.

im pretty tough to get on april fools day...our janitor was telling a story this morning how 8 years ago today he got in an accident flew threw window ear sown back on etc etc....and i called bs on him, well the HR lady said nope it really happened...so while i was trying call him out on a joke he was telling the truth.

well sure that is her cell number but you can always reach her at work with this number.
911-233-3581

OUCH!

Good one!

aww!!!

I am soooooo glad you guys are having a blast!

I am missing all the fun Liesa moments!:laughing:

lol

Totally wish you were here too! I missed your propensity to belly laugh with me!

Of course this was answered like 3 pages back. :rotfl2:

Glad everything worked out on the job and school front. Sounds like everything is falling into place.

I have not been checking FB too often but ouch onthe ankle. Glad it is better. Mine is Ok but it reminds me that I turned it still so I hope that goes away soon.

Have a great time this weekend. We want to hear EVERYTHING!!!! :goodvibes

This moved WAY fast this weekend- I'm barely able to get caught up! :scared1:

Things are falling into place and we're abotu ready to ramp up to a busy time of really making htis place our own. It's exciting, really.

I totally thought of you when I did it, Pat! How odd that we should both have an issue in the same week!!

Wow, I got really far behind in a few days. Your picture on Test Track was pretty funny. As much as I love the morning Disney excitement, I think I prefer the evening, when you've been going strong all day and feel tired, but in a good way because it means you've spent the day having fun.

Congratulations on the new job!! That's so exciting! :woohoo:

I'm going to remember the old hurt ankle trick. We're trying to sell our house and have had a lot of showings lately, which is good, but I get so sick of cleaning all the time. A nice ankle injury that mysteriously clears up after the work is done would be just the thing.

I really, really love the evenings in Disney as well. The entire atmosphere changes, the lights are all magical and pretty, the crowds are lower. Even just sitting on a bench people watching is so awesome!

YES! Constantly cleaning is so taxing! YOu poor thing! Just take a lesson from the expert of Greeting new friends and getting out of work. Of course, I also have courses in Mug collecting and Dine and Dash 101 as well. You sound like a very good learner to me. I can give you a discount.

Okay I am all caught up!!Liessa I once Fell off a Shelf and sprained my back !!The there was the time I jumped off a Tombstone and broke my ankle !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:So I can completely understand your injury!!!;)

So I will leave the Boys to their frivolities and Leissa and the Ladies to their Meet!!

YOu jumped off a tombstone!!?? Rosie, what the hay were you doing in a graveyard?? :confused3

I can understand the falling off a chair one. My daughter did that. Totally broke it falling 3 feet. Her foot got stuck between the slats and twisted.

Now, back to the DISMeet. ;)

Thanks... I'm ready. But, I'm going to have to move faster than I did yesterday if I'm going to keep up! I may just have to get an iPad to keep with me at all times for the sole purpose of keeping up with this thread. It is all over the place.:confused3

Exactly! Haven't you guys seen the "Who wore it best" sections in the rag mags? it is not about running away... it is about winning! ;-)

Great summary of the days events! Maybe you could provide all of us with a TR (thread report) of this TR (trip report). I know I could use some help keeping up!

I will happily provide you with an excuse to buy an iPad. Just tell them I sent ya. They will happily decline any discounts you may ask for.

And yes, the last few days it definitely HAS been ALL over the place! I totally can't even keep up myself! :faint:

Winning is very important - especially in Settlers!! But I"ve never considered it in terms of clothing.

So did everybody paint each others' toenails last night, or whatever it is you do?

No, we ate, drank, and be'ed merry.

So glad you're having a wonderful time and that your husband's job has worked out so well for your family. Oh, yes, and that your ankle is OK. :goodvibes

Yum...I love Pinot Noir...and Cabernet...and hot tubs! Sounds wonderful! And I just made myself sound like a drunkard..which I am absolutely not. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: My husband would made a similar comment...

It was the EPIC Meet of month. We seriously had a great time!

We had plenty of Cab, some Viognier, lots of Vino Verde. All of it very tasty!! Apparently, some think we are drunkards too, but are definitely not. Unless we open the wine. ;)

or a can of vodka

:rotfl:

Ladies, I sent you a PM last night so you wouldn't worry about me making it home through the rain, but it sounds like no worrying was done! Hot tub and wine? Sweet!

It was such a blast meeting all of you last night! Not much sleep for me (dog & kiddies got me up early), but the fun we had yesterday was worth it. :goodvibes

Looking forward to hearing about your exciting day today! Drink a glass of wine for me! :drinking1

Downloading photos from last night sometime today, but y'all have most of the really good ones on your cameras. :lmao:

Well, I don't think we actually worried you'd make it home- afterall, you live in Oregon and know how to drive/ raft home in the rain. I wish you'd have had all night to hang out and giggle with us. It was a nice relaxing evening of chatter.

We all agreed that you are truly a joy to hang around with and have fun with . You dove right into all the silly joking, and it seemed like we had known you forever. :yay: New friends are just so much fun!!! BTW, I definitely want to come down to Eugene soon- I'm thinking about talking Toni into going with me, and we can have dinner somewhere- maybe soon, k?

Unfortunately, Camille's camera chip isn't an SD and so I can't get her pix. She'll have to burn me a disk and mail them, which will also unfortunately also delay the start of the posts about our time- because you already know that if there aren't any pictures, it didn't happen. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think they are all sleeping in. They had wine tasting today right??? Maybe we will get some posts later. I can't wait to read those. I hope they were not too hungover to go tasting. :rolleyes1

We did NOT sleep in and speaking for myself, looked frightful after staying up til 2 AM. Unfortunately, the "too much fun" evidence was ummmm... very evident.

As for tasting.... you'll have to find out what actually transpired...

Apparently it is NOT your lot! I know I said this already on FB, but YAY!!!! So glad for you guys :goodvibes And kudos on the better offer :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you're have a great DISmeet - can't wait to see the pics!

I can say for sure that NOT going to Nevada is a wee bit of a relief. WEll, OK, LOT of a relief. :rotfl2:

Pix in a few days...

Boy I've missed lots of good news!

Glad the ladies are okay.:thumbsup2 I had to go back in 2009. Right before we left for Disney I went in for my annual. While riding Kilimanjaro I got the call I needed to come back in. Went in the day after we got back and got the okay within in few minutes. In 2010, no call back, what a relief.

Sorry about your ankle but at least it's not broken.

Wonderful news about Mike's job and even better that the was able to get a little more. DH had to take a cut in pay for a job he took in 2009 but I think in the end it has been worth it. He really like his job and the hours, much more than at any other job he has had in many a year. I do believe God takes care of us and things happen for that reason, his reason.

Sounds like school is going good. I hope things work out for the Chem class.

And best of all your having a great weekend with lots of great ladies. Have fun for me too!

I can't imagine getting a call back while at Disney! :scared1:That would certainly put a damper in the touring!
I would agree, a paycut is certainly better that a layoff, and one that provides a better working condition that he likes better is a great thing! If a guy isn't happy in his job, things are hard on everyone- I know.

Will start the Chem in summer term. But will use this term to bone up on the math I may need.

We had a great time! Camille leaves in the morning, but we sure had a fun 4 days!! :woohoo:

Sounds like you ladies had a great time together! Wish I had some time over the weekend to keep up better......:rolleyes1

Yeah, I got real lucky backing up everything right before my computer died. Losing the motherboard is not a good thing, and with today's throwaway society, it is much easier to go new than spend the money to fix old. More good news is the guy who checked it out for me told me that he can salvage the hard drive (with all the files) and install it in a soft case that can be used via USB just like an external hard drive on the new computer, so for about $30 I will now have double back-up!!!

Sounds like a really wonderful weekend! I am looking forward to the pictures!!

Almost as good as two years ago when I had you all convinced our trip was off. :lmao::lmao::lmao: I still crack up over that!

I think that was last year! Because I fell for it first and was so sad that we would not meet in Nuremberg. :sad2:

:lmao: Oh, glad to hear it! And um...Cynthia, vodka comes in cans??? :rotfl2: WHAT?

Can't wait to see the photo documentation! :goodvibes

The answer to HOW did Rosie fall off a Tombstone:confused3 ... Drum Roll please...

My backyard growing up opened into an OLD graveyard ,:scared1: Many of the headstones had been moved and were in a line ,perfect for practising to be a tightrope walker ,:rotfl2: Ha Ha you think Rosie wasn;t a good tightrope walker NOOOO!! Also at the end of the line was a large tombstone that we jumped onto !!:scared1:!Nooo not that!!! Okay we were playing MONSTER Tag (in a graveyard no less) :lmao:off a tombstone to escape the "the Monster " and landed on my twisted up ankle !!! Voila Rosie is at the ER with this tale !!The ER staff just shook their heads !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2: You're up late... It's good to be back and see you. Have a good weekend?

Lauren needed the computer to finish up some homework, so I wasn't able to stay on long enough to chat.

Yes, the weekend was good. Lots of running around though....James is doing flag football now, the girls had youth group at church, and that was just yesterday. It's such a blur, I can't even remember Saturday.

So glad you had a great Meet and sounds like you had alot of fun!!! Sorry I was not able to make it.....although we did find the prom dress for the daughter!

I don't think there was any way NOT to have a great time together! Although, I have to say, those that couldn't make it were greatly missed! Toni, Cherie, Loraine, Heather.... Hopefully next time!

You sound much better at backing up that we are.... UGH!! One of those things that we keep meaning to do, and never seem to get done. GREAT news taht you can salvage at least the important stuff- That's Nice!!:thumbsup2

Sounds like a really wonderful weekend! I am looking forward to the pictures!!

I think that was last year! Because I fell for it first and was so sad that we would not meet in Nuremberg. :sad2:

I hope Camille and Tammie can get me some photos before too long- otherwise they'll have to do all the updating and sharing.... eh hemmm....popcorn::

I think you're right!! Seems like longer ago than it was now. The whole moving thing is really starting to all meld together! I contemplated long and hard for something to do this year, but couldn't think of anything witty or believable.

:lmao: Oh, glad to hear it! And um...Cynthia, vodka comes in cans??? :rotfl2: WHAT?

Can't wait to see the photo documentation! :goodvibes

:lmao::lmao: Remember that? A new concept though.... convenient vodka in a can. :rotfl2: (Tina, you read that whole bit of chatter on her thread, right??)

So, basically, it was just as spectacular as the one at Fantasmic. This one at the tombstone was just a warm up. :lmao: BTW, Monster Tag sounds super fun!

I totally get it with the shared computer use. Really, I do. Are you waiting to get the kids one until they leave?? We waited until Andrew HAD to have one, as they outdate so quickly.

As for remembering what happened the day before... ummm.... let's just say there wasnt' a whole lot of that happening here either. :lmao: But you don't have an excuse, pal.

Well you know my antics have nothing to do with my age !!It has been a life time acheivement !!That same Graveyard holds many memories of my youth!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:The Pastor's wife who was extremely straitlaced told my MUM !!I am sure the Dead don't mind the patter of children's feet !!So we had the SEAL of approval!!:rotfl2:

We missed meeting you, big time!! Perhaps sometime in the near future, Toni and I can travel south, and meet up with you and Jen! That'd be so great!!

Glad you got the dress, though. Do we get to see pictures??

Do we get to see pictures??

If I can figure out how to upload a photo...:confused3 I will try this weekend! Prom is on Saturday night!!

I'd love to see one! If you need a tutorial on how to post a picture I can help you. It's not hard at all, just a bit time consuming.

Um.... I thought I had been keeping up with the chatter pretty well... but apparently not! :rotfl2:
