I hit their office supply section to find one. It's just a simple base, without a cover. With all the embellishment work that everyone is doing, I didn't want anything being squished or hidden under a cover.
Hey all.. my AK is not working out the way I want it too... if I can't get it in the next day or two... would anyone object to me doing Aurora instead?? I have an idea and am going to sketch it tonight and template it tomorrow...
The AK.. looks good in my head.. but not on this small of a layout.. Sure hope it will work on an 8X8 page I need to do...
I'm sure whatever you make will be wonderful (as my DD would say). But to be honest, I like Aurora more than the AK. No offense to the animals, of course.
I finished my cards!! Whoo hoo. They are rather varied from one to the next in terms of colors, but all the same style and embellishments. Now I just need to wait for one of the punches. Fortunately, there's lots of time, so no rush.
And I only bloodied my finger with a brad once, I must be getting better.
Those are cute! Did you use stickers or stamps? The only potential problem I see is is someone bought the round rolodex. The ribbons might get hung up in the stand. I'm not sure if anyone bought those though.
For mailing you can get a flat rate priority envelope from the Post Office, That is what most of us use. Put all of the cards in a ziploc bag (incase they get left in the rain) with your name and DIS name on it . The postage increases before the swap is over though. So you will need to include $4.60 in money or postage for your return postage. Not sure which Joy prefers. And if you want delivery confirmation it's an extra 50¢.
I mail everything in a box!! I've just had really bad experiences with the USPS and it's too much time and money to take any more chances. But, a lot of people use envelopes, I guess.
Hi everyone! Just popping in to say hello. I am feeling MUCH better now! Turns out that I had really bad inflammation in my chest as a result of having the flu... so much so that I had asthma-like congestion, no air moving... doctor put my on steroids to bring down the inflammation and now a week later I am breathing much better and hardly coughing at all. He said it was so congested that he couldn't even tell if I had pneumonia, though he did hear it was "wet" in my lungs.... anyway... I'm on the mend now... thanks for the well wishes. I'm looking forward to next weekend when I will have a chance to get these cards done! Have a great week!
