Thanks! I'm starting to really enjoy being free to do things with friends.

Probably no WDW for years...we really felt that the planning required and crowding in a slower season was just too much. I might plan a trip with my sister in a year or so though. She has only been once since childhood and it was a bad trip.

We're making steps to get the house ready for sale next spring. Now we have to decide where to retire

I am a Dis friend selling their house to move after retirement.....they were going to FL and now changed their mind to NJ.
We moved to AZ before retirement. Good thing. It took a couple years to sell out house in WA

I have heard about things like this before. One trend recently is moving somewhere new for most of retirement and then back to hometown for the final years. Lucky you in that you could move to AZ before retirement and wait out the sale in WA!

If we move somewhere new to us we'll definitely rent for a year first. We are also considering a neighboring county where costs are a bit cheaper and we could keep our doctors and be near most family. Our biggest problem is that we each want very different locales for retirement and can't find a good compromise.......

helped us that both kids were already here.....but we knew we were coming
