I am making a basket of goodies for the people who just moved onto our street from another city. I am including menus, coupons and gift cards from local restaurants, football, baseball and basketball schedules for the local university, and magnets with the phone numbers for local pizza places, etc.
I am also including a small album with one letter of the alphabet on each page, along with corresponding info for the services or stores that begin with that letter. For instance, on the first page, beside the large letter A, there will be the name of a "favorite" or reliable local auto repair shop, automobile dealer, auto detail crew, airport shuttle, etc. I have found at least 2, usually three for each letter. But I am stuck on Q, X and Z. I have considered using Quizno's and other sandwich shops for Q and doing the same for Z with Zaxby's and other fast food restaurants. But who really needs the phone number or address of a restaurant? I thought about x as in skull and crossbones for poison control, etc. emergency numbers, but I honestly think most people just dial 911 no matter what the emergency. I also thought about using X-Ray as in hospital, clinics, etc. for X, but since he is an emergency room physician, I don't think that is necessary. Wo do not have a zoo or quarry nearby, but we do have a small farmer's market, which probably occasionally sells zucchini!
