ABC 8x8 Prototypes

I also prefer to cut the non textured cardstock. I do still use some textured, but it just doesn't cut as nice for me. I go through blades very quickly when textured or bling is involved.

Close ups or faces can be done as small as 3-1/2, full size ones, don't do less than 5. Even then the little pieces are a pain to work with. I think I made my Aladdin/Jasmine at 5-1/2 and I went crazy with them. This is where the Expression is a good thing. I think 6-1/2 to 7-1/2, depending on final width, is good for 12x12 pages. So stick with the close-up or icons for the 8x8 and those can be as small as 1-1/2 if they aren't too curvy.

Thanks for all of the Tips and Advice. Looks like I will stick with non textured cardstock. I also like the idea of bringing a Jolees around to make sure I have the right colours...

Off today to buy lots of cricut blades:goodvibes

Checking in.... All papers are bought and pieces are cut. I wlll make the prototypes next Monday and Tuesdaywhile I am at the hotel in New HAmpshire at DD's College Orientation, post them Wednesday (if I figure out how), and then I'm off to France for a week, home for a day, and then off to Disney for a week. I hope to finish the all of the pages while I am in Orlando for a few days alone (woohoooooo!) waiting for friends and DD18 to come down. All alone in a three bedroom condo with me and my scrapbook stuff....that's heaven! Mickey by day---Xyron by night:love:

Sounds like an exciting month! Have a great time. If you can't figure out the photos, you can email them to me and I'll post them.

New Hampshire, France and then Florida? That right there is a cool scrapbook layout just waiting to be made.

Enjoy your trips!

That's a great thing I've gotten from making prototypes. I now know what size I cut everything at since I'm writing it all down!!!! In the past, if you'd asked this question, I'd have had to try to remember and I'd have probably been wrong!!!!!

Everything was cut using the Mickey Font or Mickey & Friends cartridges.

From Mickey & Friends:
film strip cut at 3 1/2 inches
characters cut at 2 inches
hands cut at 2 inches

From Mickey Font:
Disney cut at 1 1/2 inches
A and Z cut at 1 1/2 inches
to cut at 1/2 inch
The End cut at 1 inch
Until the next trip cut at 1/2 inch
