Ok, could someone please post what all of the room pricing acronyms stand for and give a brief description? Am really lost as reading all if the pricing threads.

Not sure which acronyms/abbreviations you are looking to decipher, so I will give the rundown on the ones I am seeing so far...

OBB = On board booking (someone transferred a previous on board booking to a 2015 date); this would include a 10% discount off prevailing rates

Ins = Insurance

Trns = Transfers from the airport to the port and vice versa

2A3K (or something similar) = 2 adults, 3 children/kids

PC = Port Canaveral

Sea = Day at Sea

Coz = Cozumel

GC = Grand Cayman

CC = Castaway Cay

NA = Nassau

KW = Key West

ST = St. Thomas

SJ = San Juan

SM = St. Maarten

Hope this helps!

Thanks for asking this. Im also lost at times. I understand the abbreviations for castaway cay and such, but I dont understand the category terms like GTY (not even sure if i got it right). There are a few category abbreviations that im not familiar with.

I often wonder if I'm the only one left with a complete keyboard. Or maybe the will to type complete words.

GTY is often confused with *GT. GTY simply means that a certain percentage of staterooms in that category have already been booked, and you can no longer select a specific stateroom for your reservation. GTY will have a specific category (i.e., 10A GTY, 7B GTY, 4A GTY) and you are agreeing to allow DCL to assign you any stateroom in that specific category or higher. This is NOT a discounted rate.

*GT are discounted rates -- IGT (interior), OGT (oceanview) and VGT (verandah). This rates MAY be released less than 75 days prior to the sail date (after the PIF) and you are allowing DCL to assign you any stateroom in the broad category (interior, oceanview, verandah).

Other discount abbreviations (which do not apply to opening day rates) include:
FLR - Florida resident discount rate
MIL - military discount rate
KSF - kids sail free

The stateroom category number and letter refer to a specific type of stateroom and the location (deck, forward/aft/midship). Categories 10-11 are interior staterooms; 8-9 are oceanview staterooms, and 4-7 are verandah staterooms.

I often wonder if I'm the only one left with a complete keyboard. Or maybe the will to type complete words.

The pricing threads are meant to compile a great deal of information quickly. Typing out every word would not only take up a lot more room, but also a lot more time in an already time consuming task.

Thanks!! The *GT are the ones I understood the least. So they only come out after the PIF date, correct?

Know what the OBB is...also know probably won't help me out with all of the changes. :(
