Am I the only person who doesn't care that he is dead or how it happened?
He is a thug murderer. Why is the media and public spending so much time even thinking about this guy?

The won't comment because he is a a "former" player on the team. He was fired when it all came out. Would your employer comment on your death if they fired you 5 years earlier?

Motive your 29 years old, you're a convicted murderer and you will be in a cell for the next, oh, 50 or 60 years. You have a 8x6 room with 1 window for the rest of your life. Your every move is dictated from the time you get up to the time lights out. You will the same day the rest of your life.

I read about it yesterday. I agree THUG describes it perfectly.

I am not going to fall prey to conspiracy theories unless someone produces evidence to the contrary over his suicide. Life in prison without parole would probably lend itself to committing suicide.

Absolutely agreed. And not sure I buy the conspiracy theory, either. But I think there is room for the questions being raised, IMO. Lots of things have happened at that prison. He was reportedly a member of a gang there and he had had some fights already with other inmates. Some notorious inmates have been murdered there before. And last week gave him hope that he might be a free man some day since he was acquitted of two murders, and his murder conviction of Odin Lloyd was being appealed. I just don't think it's as far-fetched as it may seem.

The thing is he wasn't a nobody. I'm a nobody in my company so of course they aren't going to say anything about me if I die 5 years form now. However with every sports team I follow if an ex-player dies they get their moment of silence. Heck even the guys that played 1 game and got trades still get it. The reason they aren't saying anything is because they want to distance themselves from him.

Heck Jose Fernandez of the Marlins still is on their jersey even though it was confirmed he was the one who flipped the boat and had cocaine in his system and the family of the 2 other guys are suing his estate. They aren't distancing themselves from him even though he did some really bad stuff.

IF he was murdered he was murdered by his own kind. His own gang or a rival gang. He went down just like he took down that guy. You live by the gun, you die by the gun (or hanging in this case). So it's not that far out there for me either.

Your brain will tell you that yes, logically Mr. Thug has enemies because he is a thug and people want him dead. Completely understandable.

What evidence is there? I have only seen "opinion evidence".

Are they doing an investigation?

I assume he committed suicide until the evidence shows otherwise.

Yes, they are doing an investigation, but to my knowledge, no information has been released yet.

ETA should've said "little information". They said he had marks on his hands and feet, and in red (? blood per one report) he had a bible verse number scrawled across his forehead. He left no note (which some think in and of itself is suspicious - nothing for his daughter or other family, who he was reportedly very close with) but there was a bible with the same page as the verse on his forehead open on the bed.

The only thing his talent and NFL career did, was increase his bank account, his ego, and his resolve that he couldn't be touched. Unfortunatley he found out the hard way because of his hard life choices. Sad.

It definitely is a shame that this guy wasted a ton of talent to go the thug life. He just got involved with the wrong Gang related people it seemed. It only takes one bad decision and no matter how much is handed to you on a silver platter or talent you have it can go down the toilet in an instant and it did with him. I certainly feel for his family and his little daughter, but the guy wasted his life and he could have had a really good one.

I went to UF with Aaron. Can't say we were close friends but we shared mutual friends and hung out frequently in large groups. The path he chose certainly led him to sadly become a waste of talent and ability. He chose the style of life he had despite everyone rooting for him otherwise. He was fiercely loyal and a nice to extent if he liked you. He was always kinda scary but I liked him then.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories but if the door hadn't been jammed, I would've said for sure there was foul play awry. The Aaron I knew in college would've never. Plus, the bible verse? Not Aaron. Of course, things change. Prison changes you. So does more money and drugs. I hope the investigation is conclusive regardless of how it plays out.

Whatever happened, my heart hurts for his daughter and fiance.

Exactly. Its really kind of sad that all people are talking about is his death. Sorry, I don't feel anything about his death. If he chose to take his own life well at least he had the choice, if it was murder then it was karma.

Regardless of what occurred, this man has many family members in town.

I did not know him and did not follow his career. I think it is very indicative of what happens to many people when they have too much too soon

He has faced his ultimate judgement. I hope this story dies quickly and his family can also put him to rest

I felt the same way and (ETA I'm being Dis friendly ) wouldn't have given him the time of day, either. But as I said, I saw the verdict being read on a local station last week (shows were interrupted) and my interest was piqued after his suicide.

I also do think it's a human interest story because there are lots of other people involved and a major sports organization and laws in my state, etc. (I just got a breaking news alert in my Inbox that his brain is now being held against the family's wishes they want to have it independently examined, etc.)

It's certainly as interesting a topic as "shampoo advice", isn't it?
