I'm sorry, I just had to come here to vent. We are only driving through tomorrow night and stopping at the MVMCP and it's a surprise for my kids. Last night the report said a 20% chance of rain in the P.M. now first thing this morning it's an 80% chance! :guilty:

i'm doing the same thing. i have to keep reminding myself that the meteorologist doesn't know much more than i do.

Exactlly, if you worry about it then you will not enjoy your little visit.

Be happy, we're supposed to have a 20 cm of snow on friday!!!! Nice snow storm!!!! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for your happy thoughts! :flower: I wouldn't be so concerned if we were going for the week, but tomorrow night is it! I just hate for it to be a chilly rain all night. But I'm praying for good weather! :sunny: I've checked several weather sites and they are all different, so I'll just wait and see what happens.

Thats not a very nice thing to say. Too bad we do know more than you do. Why don't you just accept the fact that the meteorologist knows that there is a chance for rain so you can take the proper precautions?

I can say from personal experience (I have my degree in Meteorology) that the road to becoming a meteorologist is long, difficult, and requires a lot of hard work. The dropout rate is amoung the highest in any major and hovers around 80%. The calculus and physics is extremely demanding. In my freshman classes their were about 65 people. I graduated with about 5 of them. The weather is extremely difficult to predict and is constantly changing. The Meteorologists do their best.

That said. I hope they are wrong and that you have great weather and a wonderful time. However, I would plan ahead for rain, if I were you.

you will have fun no matter what

You know what they say, If you don't like the weather in Florida , wait 5 minutes it will change.

I'm going crazy too -- we leave Friday and want to know what to pack-- more short sleeves, long sleeves, sweatshirts??? But, it is better than Chicago at this time of year -- more snow is coming

Yes pack all of the above. I can go from short sleeve to sweatshirt and jackets very fast. We are supposed to get snow in NYC on Friday, going to be a looong winter

I'm watching forecasts nervously too. I'm scheduled to fly from Boston to MCO on Friday night, and right now they're forecasting rain, snow, and wind. Ugh. I'm crossing my fingers that it's not bad enough to delay or cancel our flight!

I'll take whatever kinda weather shows up in Orlando, just hoping for good enough weather to get there ontime! :sunny:

Bring a little bit of everything! Last year, it was very windy and rainy and never made it above the 40's on Dec. 26. We wore ski jackets, mittens, hats and still froze! :cold: (We're from near Cleveland and know cold!) A few days later, it was sunny and in the upper 70's--plenty warm enough to swim! Bring layers and rain gear and have fun!
