AAARRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!! We just got broken into.

Got a phone call early this morning informing me that our newly built suites at our motel were broken into and they stole a bunch of stuff.

Once we and the police concluded that our newest tenants were to blame we asked them to move out.

Well THEY STOLE EVERYTHING RIGHT DOWN TO THE MEASURING CUPS AS THEY LEFT.


I am ssoooooooo upset...I just want to cry. TV's Microwaves, cooking pots and pans...EVERYTHING!!!

Please send me pixie dust...I really need it.

No the police are useless in this town...They said they know who it is but can't prove it.


I had to call their main number that said either to call during office hours or to call a 1-800 number...(I had no pen so I had to try to remember it...) and when I called the 1-800 number...I GOT A RECORDING AND HAD TO CALL BACK...
It's like pulling teeth to even get a cop to call back...


When he did call back he said if they had not returned the items by tomorrow...to call him back....I'M SOSOOOOSOOOOOOO MMMAAAADDDDDDD!!!

What a bummer, Sam. And the response from the police seems marginal. Do hope all is covered by insurance.

Thanks guys but the cost of theinsurance would go up higher than the amount of the claim....So we have to EAT the loss...

Wish I was back at Cindy's having breakfast with Dan and Simba's Mom...WDW is never this stressful...Good reason to go back.

I know exactly how you feel! Same kind of thing happened to us, only at our house. We had a 4-Wheeler stolen and lots of tools. We were told by the police that we needed to have an alarm system on our out-buildings (we have two storage sheds in the backyard) and there was basically nothing they could do (we live in the country about 18 miles from town). They never tried to look for the thieves and nothing was recovered. It was a joke.

We just took a ride down to the Motel to check on things and we saw a cop sitting in a car about a mile away so we stopped to talk to him. We asked if he would drive by and keep a look out because we had a feeling that they would come back and they still had all our stuff.

He said he thought they had brought it all back and saw the 2 people who stole from us just a few hours ago...We had to tell him that they did not bring our stuff back and he should go arrest them...He said he would go knock at the door to see if they were home...Knock...That's going to help...NOT!

I feel soooo frustrated. If I see those 2 on the side of the road...uhnn this is a family oriented board so I will refrain from further comment till I calm down.

Sorry guys...Just had to vent.

I, too, have a business, and can feel your pain.
I've had my share of shoplifters in my store!
