How can a company as accomplished as Disney have such a craptastic web presence?? I'm trying to check availability and no matter what date I enter, it puts it back to 8/1/2007. For cryin' out loud!

I am. But if that's the problem then WHY do they even show 2008 as an option? They have never had a good website and it's an eternal mystery to me why it's just so bad.

I've said it before, Disney has the least user friendly site I have ever seen for such a big company. I think the term "craptastic" is very fitting.:lmao: I also think it's stupid that they wait so long to put out the schedule and pricing for the following year. With us having to make ADR's 180 days in advance, we need information in order to plan.

Prices are not out for 2008, but will be next month. You can call and get a room only ressie now.

I am with you on the "BAD" website. DH and I are always getting frustrated with it!:headache: !

DH and I have often marvelled at the craptasticness of the Disney website. Thanks for coming up with the perfect adjective! :lmao:

I agree about the technology (or lack there of) of their website... it can leave you very frustrated!

Just a thought though... if you are accessing the check the dates from the "specials" mainly with the code BUL on their site.. if you put in a date after the code runs out it will default you back to a prior date. Not sure if this is your problem but thougth I would mention it.

GOOD LUCK

Yes, with all the experience Disney has with other things they do not have a background with web technology. I don't know whether they do the website themselves or have an outside party do it (I know they partner with go.com) but it sure is not up to their other standards. This is not uncommon even amongst large companies. They just don't do web well.

After trying several times to reserve a March '08 date (I thought it was a problem with my browser!), I agree that not being able to reserve even 180 days in advance is ridiculous, to say the least.

These guys are in the travel industry, for goodness' sake!!. You can check rates and even reserve March '08 dates thru the internet in a Car rental or arline web site. Are you telling me that Disney is unable to do so? Even if that were the case, just checking the dates and giving a simple message is not rocket science.

Regards,
Luis

Yep, Disney's site is the worst. If 08 rates arent available, they shouldnt even be on there as an option yet.

We are planning a trip in '09 and I have tried comparable dates for '08 for a price estimate, but, like you said those rates for packages aren't available yet... I have also tried with '07 dates and, of course, there are not on-site vacancies. What's a girl to do?
:confused3
