Hello!

We booked our flights today

BUT

here is what we have:

We are arriving at 140pm, from Ottawa.

We have Hoop De Doo Revue ADR's for 5:00pm

Now...we do preclear customs here in Ottawa. So when we arrive, we go directly to the ME bus, and go on our way to the World!

We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter.

Do we have enough time to deplane (so say 2pm) get over to ME (so say for 215/220pm) take ME to the resort (arrive say 330pm) check in, drop off our luggage, and then head over to dinner? (we were told we can get our tickets at the hotel when we check in)


I am thinking its still doable if we do the taxi from the hotel to Fort Wilderness Campground, to the hall with the show. Anyone know how much this is going to cost for 7 people to do?

Did you check is Hoop... sold out for a later time. I'd call and check and see if I could get a later seating that night before panicking. It is a little tight 'cause what happens if the flight is 30 minutes late?

If everything is on time, you should be able to get there without a problem.

It's tight but do able so long as you have no delays--I'd call and change it to the next Hoop-Dee-Doo (if there is space) and lessen the stress.

I would definitely change to the 715 reservation time.. and then you have lots of time to check in unpack even have a quick dip and then head over without the rushed feeling,
I do believe that you pre-clear customs here first though. We are leaving May 21st from Toronto and our travel agent told us we pre-clear here and don't see our bags again until we hit the resort ...which is nice and scary at the same time.
anyhow....check the later time and they you can sit back and relax otherwise you will be watching the clock and on edge until the get there. not so much fun.

I have similar flight timing, no customs worries, and have a 7:15 reservation at Hoop. I posted before and some people thought I was cutting it too close, I know I would not be comfortable with the earlier reservation.

the 715show is going to be too late for a 3 year old and a 5 year old. :O( i will have to talk with the rest of the family and see what they want to do, if they want to change it and maybe do 1900 park fare on our first night there, and do hoop on our 5th night.

Since your children are so young and you have a long day just to get to WDW I think you'll enjoy the show more if you're not feeling rushed. A character dinner sounds like a great way to start your vacation and less stress for you!

you do pre clear in Ottawa...if your flight has any connections I would change it.

If you can't make 1900 because everyone is too tired it's not a big deal but I think you have to spend more on Hoop Dee Do don't you?

I do know that it can take more than 15 minutes sometimes for lugguge to make it off.

Plus ME will need to "fill up your bus" so that could also delay you.

Much better not to stress!

You could make it, but I agree with the others about travel time & being tired. I think it would be safer to make a ADR that if you are delayed or just plain too wore out you won't lose any money.

Another idea would be take the boat to DTD & eat at Rainforest or swim & eat at the food court. We love hanging around the resort on our first night.

Your times are pretty much the same as ours. We figure we can make it. We also were told by the Disney people that if you do have flight delays you can call and cancel, as this would be out of your control. We really debated the later show but with the early one you can still catch Wishes.

We are planning on taking a quick change of clothes and toiletries in the carry-ons in case the luggage does not make it to the room on time.

Slightly different question along same lines......we just got back from POP and there were signs up saying that if you came via ME your luggage should arrive within 5 hours of your arrival and will be put in your room.

Is this how it works ? If I do this next trip do I plan to wear my clothes to whatever for at least 5 hours waiting on luggage ????

If this is the case, shouldn't the OP wear their dinner clothes on the plane or put it in a carryon ?

ps We did the swim/Rainforest dinner/DTD walk the first night then to bed. That is usually our plan or to eat at hotel food court !

pss Can you take a taxi to the hall or must you get out at the front gate and get on internal bus ?

OK so i spoke with the family, and everyone has agreed to change the hoop de doo for further in our trip. noone wants the 715 dinner hour, and we don't want to stress over the 5pm one. We were told same as another poster, if we have flight problems, we can call and cancel without penalty as it would be out of our control. BUT would we be able to reserve it for another night that week that doesn't conflict with other plans....

So we are just going to switch it up now. Thanks everyone. I knew it was tight, but ....

So we will arrive and we will have an adr for 6pm for 1900 Park Fare. Then there is no stress if we are late, we can just wait in line for a spot. The kids may like seeing characters when they first arrive. ESP my dd who will be all about the princesses. Elalella is her favourite..(cinderella. lol)

Saturday: 1900 Park Fare
Wednesday: Animal Kingdom followed by 5pm show of Hoop De Doo.
