I will be booking through AAA for 2 rooms. The rooms are for 2 different familys and using different credit cards. One has AAA and the other doesn't (they don't want to buy AAA). Will both rooms get the AAA rate.

No, the person who is listed on the AAA card must also be listed on the AAA reservation. You could possibly get the AAA rate for the other family but if they are unable to present a AAA card with the name of someone on the reservation then thier reservation will be changed back to rack rate.

At least that is how it was explained to me.... one person on the disney reservation has to have a valid AAA card.

I would think that since the person with AAA is not paying for both rooms, you will not get the AAA rate.

To be honest, that's how it should be in my opinion. Two different families, two different credit cards. One has AAA and one doesn't. Seems pretty clear that only the person with AAA will get the discount.

Also, people have posted that they had to show their AAA card at check in, so if they don't want to buy AAA they probably won't get the discount.

I just booked two rooms using AAA rate with my father-in-law's AAA account and him using his credit card for both rooms. One room was under his name and the other room was under my husband's name, but we used all his information and then we will just pay him what is owed. Is this a scenareo you could use?

I have 2 rooms booked with different families staying in them. The room that we are not in is being paid for by the other family, but the reservation is under my reservation so they get my AAA rate.

You could make the reservations under your card (you can reserve up to 3 rooms with AAA) and have them pay for their own room. Or pay you. Whatever you want. This is how it was explained to me by my Small World TA.
