AAA WDW park tickets

Has anyone ever gotten their park tickets from AAA? We want to get ours from there since it's cheaper then getting them at the gate. I was wondering if you get actual tickets from there or if they're vouchers that you have to turn in once you get to the park for the "real" ticket. Does anyone have any idea?? Thanks!!

I bought DW tickets 2 years ago from AAA, and they were real tickets, not vouchers. I have also purchased Universal, Sea World, and Busch Gardens tickets there, multiple times, and all were real tickets. Have never had any problems with AAA tickets.

I've gotten 5-day hopper passes from AAA, for our last three trips. I couldn't get them there this year, because this year we want 6-day hoppers without water parks, and they didn't carry them. I always bought them at my local AAA, but I think you can get them online, too. Don't wait till the last minute to buy them because different AAA branches may have differing availability of tickets. One of our local branches doesn't carry tickets at all. For one trip, our other branch was out of what I needed, so I had to drive 30 minutes to get them at another office. I don't know how long it takes to ship them if you order them online, or how much shipping would be.

If you are thinking of doing tickets on line I would suggest checking the mousears site. We went to ticketmania www.ticketmania.com and the price we got was better than the price that our AAA had. I think that the mouseears site gets you to the deeper discounted price. They were very prompt with delivery it was at most 5 days. You need to be able to sign for the delivery. I was at twork when they delivered and they were left at the Post Office for me to pick up the next day. It was a great service.

thanks everyone for the information and help. i'm going to try the ticketmania website and see if they are any cheaper but if they're not, i did call my local AAA office and they do carry the tickets so thankfully i won't have to drive any further to get them at another office!! thanks again for your help

Be careful re AAA "Discount Rates". I reserved a room last March for the 20% off rooms from Dec.4-9. I went in yesterday to convert it to a package at the "AAA Discount Rate" and it came out to $200 MORE than on the Disney website. Same date, same tickets, same dining plan. I called them today and got a major runaround. The TA I worked with said she "didn't know why" it was more and that I was the THIRD client who had had that difficulty. If that was the case. you would think THEY would find out WHY. But all they care about is getting their commission. When I really pressed them for the reason, they said I was getting some "perks" like free parking (can't use it because we are using Disney Transportation) and discounts on meals (can't use it because we are on the dining plan---which THEY sold me!) I now have a complaint lodged with the BBB. Don't make the same mistake I did in believing that a AAA Discount Rate means you are actually getting a discount. You're not!

Definately do some looking around. We did buy tickets at AAA for our trip last May as they were the best price then. For this upcoming trip I got tickets online for 2 reasons: first, AAA doesn't have 8 day hoppers, second I saved $40 on 2 tickets by going elsewhere. It does pay to do a little shopping around. Just make sure you are comparing the same exact tickets.
Having AAA did get us room discounts also, for both trips.

ticketmania.com, undercovertourist.com, and mapleleaftickets.com
are 3 ticket brokers that offer discount tickets. Since you have the time, you should research them. Ticketmania sends you the tickets in the mail, and is a very reputable business. More discount than AAA.

I used AAA in 2005 for our park tickets, got actual Disney tickets (with Mickey and Donald on them). At the time AAA was about the least expensive place around.

I used UndercoverTourist.com this year, the tickets arrived quickly. Also got an additional discount from mousesavers.com. Got a 7-day hopper for $1 more than a 3-day hopper would have been.

2) AAA tickets for all others are the actual tickets.


* Vouchers must be redeemed at WDW or WDW resorts, with Florida ID for each adult.
