Well after called WDW 5 or more times I finally got the AAA rate for 2005. The first couple people I got said that room only was not available yet, then I got someone who said it was and we got disconnected, then I got someone who could help me. It took over 1hr to change the ressie( our ressies was with special ressies) but it was worth it. Our rate went from 160.56 with tax to 140.49 with tax at the port orleans riverside June 16-June30 I did have to make 2 ressies because with the AAA discount you can only book 10 nights at a time.Hope this helps anyone else out there, let me know what rate you get. Now I will have to wait for annual pass rates to come out. Good luck to all!! Jillpirate: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess:

I posted in another thread, but glad to post here too :)

March 2005 (week before Easter) - POFQ $159.43 standard view.
Was paying $188.43 (rack rate peak season) :earseek: It's about a 15% discount.

Hopefully when it gets closer, the AP rates will be available. Hope everyone else is able to get their discounted rates!

Planning our trip for September 2005. With the AAA discount the BWI std view including tax is $277.64 a night. It had been $327. LV at the Poly is $379.40 a night instead of $447 a night.

Hope that helps!

I was able to book Pop Centry in Jan. for $68 including tax. Still hoping for an AP rate, but I appreciate any savings!

For POFQ from Jan 1st - Jan 10th my original rate was $166.13 including tax for a King Bed room. It is now down to $132.67. It took me forever did get them to apply the discount last night. I called after I saw another post on the DIS that said her TA got the rate and the first girl I talked to flat out told me they weren't out. Then I double checked on Mousesavers and when I called back I insisted the rep check and she found it. :teeth: I'm so happy for the savings but I hope we all get good AP and room only rates too!

:( How frustrating...I just called and made a reservation for the POFQ for March 5-12th (rack rate of $188.43) and the CM insisted the AAA rates for our stay wouldn't be available until January. I guess I'll call back later and see if I can have the discount applied. I also have an AP and will be keeping my fingers crossed for a better rate to come out in the new year.

DisneyLisa -CALL BACK. The rates are out for that time. Everyone in our party was able to get them. We have 4 rooms at POFQ. Good luck.

I also read the post about POFQ in the spring and called around 8ish I think. The CM told me that the AAA had just been released that day (Sunday). It was very simple and only took about 5 min. to apply the rate to three ressies.

Hi,

I was just able to book a savanna view room at the AKL for Sat. Jan 22nd through Fri Jan 28th, 2005. Total inc. taxes for the six nights is $1,592 which breaks out to $265.33 a night inc taxes.

Now the wait for AP rates begins again.

I just called back and got the AAA rate. :) Both times I was told my deposit is due September 19th (I thought it was always 14 days)...does anyone know why I was given that date?...even the CM was confused and said it's usually 14 days but that's what the system was telling him.

Just booked Fort Wilderness campsite for February 2005 with AAA room only discount. First part of February is Value Season, so we got a 20% discount on campsite.

$43.00 rack rate
$34.00 with discount

Total cost was $227.00 for six nights with tax

Preferred was a little more at 40.00/night

Now we just have to wait until February!!

YMJ travel agent just let us know she got AAA rate for our July 2005 trip. Poly concierge garden view went from $457 to $388/night. These women are great..glad I didn't have to make the call. Now for AP rate before July 2005 to reduce it more!

It's because we're Canadian. This happens to us all the time. I guess they allow us extra time for the snail mail. I usually just give them the CC when I book it.

I just got off the phone with CRO and booked a water-view room at POFQ for April 3-8 of 2005 for $164.00/night. The original rate was $194.00/night. I am so excited that I am getting $30/off a night! At first when I asked the CM about the AAA discount, he said he didn't know if they were out this early yet, but he would look. A few seconds later he said, "ah, there they are!" I guess because the AAA rates haven't been out more than a day or so, not all the CMs are aware at first that they are available when you ask. But, he did find them quickly, so it was no problem after that.

Do you have to already be a AAA member when you call to make the reservation........ do they ask for a membership number?
I am not a member YET, but would join before our trip if I can't get a better discount with AP or whatever.

Well, I'm not sure if you HAVE to be a member when you make the reservations- all I can tell you is that the CM didn't ask me for my AAA membership number when I made the reservation. I had the card sitting out and ready, but all I did was ask him if there was a AAA discount for my dates and he looked them up and found them, then booked me with those rates without asking any other questions. Hope that helps! :D
