AAA rates for 2005

Hey, if anybody gets a new AAA card and the welcome package contains a code for ordering Universal tickets, I would love to have the code. I would really appreciate it if anyone is just planning to go to Disney and not Universal. The codes come on blue Universal insets and are used for ordering the tickets online. Just pm me. Thanks.

Thanks for your help!!
We do have an AP and book "room only" rates. I just booked for March with an AAA rate and hopefully will change our reservation to an AP rate if/when they come out. I believe you can book a package with AAA but it isn't discounted, so you may as well just book the Dream Maker Package if you want a good package deal. AAA "room only" rates aren't discounted much but at least it's something. :) For all of our trips to WDW, I've been able to get a great code rate of some sort...much better than the AAA rate. Keep your eye on this board and Mousesavers for the latest in codes. :)

It pays to keep trying. First two times I called and tried to apply AAA rate to our July 2005 GF reservations I was told they didn't have any AAA rates for those dates for lagoon view. Third time I called CM said they did have AAA rates but I would have to split reservation in two since AAA can only be booked for 10 days at a time. She also told me that she needed the AAA # by noon today or it would cancel. THis was a problem since we just got AAA and only have a temporary card without a number. I called back this morning and CM told me I didn't need the number until check-in so just call back when we got the number. All this effort and I'm really hoping for a good AP rate when it gets closer, but hedging my bet just in case.

Which phone number are you calling to make these reservations? Is there an 800 or toll free number?

I am thinking about making my reservation for Nov. 2005 already, I want to stay at the beach club, any idea what the AAA discount is for that hotel??

thanks

I am new to all the abbreviations and lingo everyone is using in this posting. Could anyone please explain to me what "AP rates" are? I see that posted time and time again and am unfamiliar with it.

Thank you.

Just booked CR Tower for 4/30 - 5/7 for $2669.00...$381.00 incl tax per night. Does that sound good...I am still hoping for an AP code to come out:hyper:

Beach Club AAA info:

up to Nov 26 is regular season. AAA disc. is 10%

Nov 27 and after is value season. AAA disc. is 15%.

I just called today for August 25-28, 2005. Rates quoted were:

CR garden view wing $207/night
Poly garden view $258/night
BC/YC garden view $249/night
AKL deluxe (queen,bunkbed & daybed) $289/night
FW cabins $198/night
POR $141/night
PoP 2 rooms $84 per room per night

I have not joined AAA yet, but actually mentioned to DH yesterday about joining because my car is getting older and I think I might want it in case it breaks down etc. Do you think it is worth it for the discounts at Disney resorts or do you think you can get better rates by just waiting for the codes to come out? I was hoping to get cheaper rates than these. I am thinking of booking one of these resorts now and hoping for a better discount to come out later. We do not have AP's.

BTW - we have 5 people going so that's why these are the only resorts I asked about. Any other suggestions for a good place to stay with 5?

Just finished reserving 3 rooms from Feb 1-10 at 119.31 including tax. That's 20% off!

:bounce:

just booked POP for Feb 10- 17th for $476 (total) Do they normally not give you a confirmation code over the phone? CM said they would mail the 12 digit number to me.

My CM did give me the 12 digit confirmation number over the phone when I called yesterday.

Should I call back to get it? How long does it take for the paperwork to be mailed to you after you have made a ressie?
Can I access my ressie on the website?

tigger12jb,

The CM also gave me the confirmation number over the phone. He told me that I would be receiving the paperwork with the reservation information and confirmation number in 7-10 days.

Thank you dennisnlisab96 for answering my question about what an AP rate is. Good luck in your travels.

Out trip for August 2005 was booked through DU. We received an email last week saying our rate for Poly LVC changed from 568.65 (tax included) to 482.86 (tax included) with the AAA rates. We are also hopiing that an AP rate kicks in later.

I am new to this side of the disboards. Could anyone tell me what DU means? Also, what # are you calling to make ressies?

Also, I got a post card in the mail with a code good for 8/29 to 9/29/04. It says non-transferable. Does that mean it is encoded only to be used for my name? Because I don't plan on going until next year and would give it to anyone interested...

Ok I called the 800 number and the cm said he didn't understand why they didn't give me a confirmation number last night so he went ahead and gave it to me. I feel much better now.
